6 Version: V1.0 Page 6 of IPMI LAN Bypass control for NAEM-0103 LAN module Hardware description The NMC slot s PCI-e buses of FWA-6510 are control by Xeon CPU. CPU 1 is control NMC slot 1/2 & 5/6 (only for 6NMC). CPU 2 is control NMC slot 3/4 & 7/8 (only for 8NMC). If customer needs using all NMC slot, please install dual CPU in FWA-6510 FWA-6510 is using the 8-channel I2C bus switch chip to redirect the SM-Bus from motherboard to NMC by middle board, the I/O address of 8-channel I2C bus switch chip is E2. Below step is using Advantech LCM utility to demo FWA-6510 LCM function 1. Kindly copy FWA-6510 LCM utility(lcm_v1.1.tar.gz) into FWA-6510 Linux system and uncompress it 2. 31 Version: V1.0 Page 31 of FWA-6510 BMC FIRMWARE UPGRADE If user needs to upgrade FWA-6510 BMC Firmware, please use SSH-terminal to execute remote upgrade BMC F/M, please don t use console redirection (COM1) or IPMI SOL to upgrade FWA-6510 F/M, otherwise, user is unable to finish BMC Firmware process. Blow steps are using SSH-terminal to upgrade FWA-6510 BMC F/M. 1. Please open chassis to look MAC barcode of BMC, or key-in ipmitool lan print to and record BMC MAC, LAN IP address & submask
