No Loop Record mode in HDV. No Daisy Chain Mode. No AV/C control No Tapeless Mode Use External Mode instead. No FireWire connection to a computer only USB

2) What Disk file systems does the FS-5, FS-CV and MR-HD support? The FS-5 supports FAT32 and UDF. The FS-5 adds the ability to format the hard drive with either the FAT 32 or the Universal Disk Format (UDF). Note: With UDF, there no longer is the 2GB file size limit. Note: When UPGRADING the FS-5 unit with new software updates, the unit must first be set to FAT 32 before mounting to a computer. After UPGRADING, the unit can then be formatted again to USB. 3) What cameras are supported? FOCUS is currently working with the following HDV Cameras that will be supported by the FS-5. Canon XL-H1 Sony Z1 JVC 101 Canon XA-G1 JVC 250 Canon HV20 Canon XH-A1 JVC 201 What mode is recommended for Tapeless Syncro/External recording? Focus recommends using EXTERNAL MODE for all. 4) What hard drive sizes are available for the FS-5? The FS-5 is available with 100GB. 5) What recording modes does it support? The link below, Intel s about the recording modes for the FS-5. *FS-5: 6) Does the FS-5 mount to a MAC or PC the same as the traditional FS DTE? No. The FS-5 mounts via a USB 2.0 port (unlike the traditional FS DTE s mounted using FireWire). 7) Does the FS-5 support TCP/IP networking? Yes, it does support networking using a USB adapter. Options for networking are: 1) Connecting to unit over the network. 2) Communicating with the unit using Peer to Peer. 3) Using FTP to get onto the unit 4) Tagging Meta Data while recording. These are some of the values of networking the unit can perform. 8) What about Metadata support? Yes, the FS-5 does support Metadata. With the FS-5, you can personalize and optimize workflow while you shoot. With your wireless handheld device or laptop, you can access the FS-5 through a browser, define metadata, and assign it to video while you're recording, eliminating the need to tag footage when the shoot is over. During postproduction, simply transfer clips complete with metadata from the FS-5 to your NLE system or PX Media Server. All of the information that you assigned during the shoot goes with the clips, saving you hours or even days of logging time. 9) Does the FS-5 support Peer-to-Peer P2P? Yes. ADHOC P2P allows the ability to connect FS-5 with other WiFi capable devices without going through a separate wireless router. This is of benefit to video production professionals as only FS-5 and a WiFi capable device are required to bring into the field for wireless metadata logging. 10) What type of battery comes with the FS-5? AVT REV: 3X 7.2V / 1950mAh DC: 0815 (11-18V DC 4W Max)

How long does the FS-5 BATTERY last during recording: 4 hours 3 minutes have been confirmed in test. 11) Will I need networking experience to work with it via wireless, Peer-to-Peer, networking, etc? Networking experience is recommended however not required. Why is this recommended? Some questions may require a person who has experience in networking to assist with an answer for general questions or issues that may arise. It is also highly recommended before a shoot that requires network metadata entry -- become VERY familiar with the setup and pre-setup any network well in advanced before a shoot. Run a short test to confirm settings. 12) Is there a mounting case or bracket that is comes with the unit? Yes, there is a standard mounting case that comes with the unit. 13) It states that the unit works and can communicate with Hand Held devices. What are examples of these Hand Held devices? FOCUS has tested hand held devices like the IPhone and IPOD Touch. More tests of different Hand Held devices are being tested. This information will be available on the FS-5 link once the list has been completed. Please note that more devices may be added every week, so it would be advisable to visit the FS-5 site to see if the hand held device you use appears. 14) Is there a different FireWire cable that work with the FS-5? Yes, the FireWire cable that comes with the FS-5 is much lighter and flexible. 15) Can I still use my old FireWire cable(s) with the FS-5? Yes it can, but it is recommended that the FireWire cable that comes with the FS-5 be used because of the flexibility of the cable and ability to better manage/route the cable around the camera. 16) Can I communicate with FS DTE while I m recording? Yes. With your wireless handheld device or computer, you can access the FS-5 through a browser to define metadata, and assign it to video while you're recording, thus eliminating the need to tag footage when the shoot is over. 17) Can I use any type of wireless USB? Currently the Linksys Compact wireless-g adaptor has been qualified as a supported USB. The model number for this particular Linksys USB is WUSB54GC. Please visit the FS-5 for a list of qualified Wireless USB Adaptors. 18) Does the FS-5 support Video Mixers? If so, what type of mixer(s) does it support? Yes, the FS-5 will work with a mixer that has a DV25 Out FireWire port. I can record to the unit and play that footage back through a camera or mixer. FOCUS MX-4DV would be a good example. 19) Does the FS-5 support Windows Vista? Yes, it is supported by Vista operating systems. 20) How secure is the FS-5 when I connect it to my network? NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS ONE KP 21) When I record MXF files, why do they appear in a folder called FCP_EXAMPLE? Because the AUTO ORGANIZE function is ENABLED. Switch to DISABLED and run ORGANIZE MXF.

22) DROP-FRAME Timecode does not match with my original tape? If matching timecode from your original tape to the DTE files is required, the FAQ work-around suggests bypassing the Final Cut Pro or Avid CAPTURE process and instead CAPTURE THE TAPE TO THE FS-5 unit. When matching the new captured files from the tape to the FS-5 with the original DTE files, the timecode should be the same. 23) Sony Z1 camera set to SYNCRONOUS and SYNCRO mode on the FS-5 Occasionally, the connection between the camera and the FS-5 unit may be lost. 24) Importing the FCP_EXAMPLE folder into Final Cut Pro produces an error: This is normal. When IMPORTING the FCP_EXAMPLE FOLDER, an ERROR MESSAGE appears: "File Error: 30 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 30 unknown." All normal QT files are still imported and OK. 25) When using SYNCRO MODE with a Canon camera, the recording appears stopped: Occasionally, in SYNCRO MODE (F1 key), with the Canon XL-H1 camera, when the user repeatedly pressed the camera trigger to START and STOP a recording, sometimes the RED REC SYMBOL shows the FS-5 recording, but no counter numbers are moving and no footage is recorded. If the user, again, presses the camera trigger button to Stop and then Start the recording again, a new recording begins. Note: Slow down the FAST TRIGGER PRESSES. Focus recommends that the user wait at least 7-10 seconds in-between each camera trigger press. 26) When using the Sony Z1 camera, the track numbers are off for a few seconds, then corrects itself: With the Sony Z1 camera, when recording in EXTERNAL MODE, if the user triggers the camera to REC, the FS-5 displays the last clip number and records for a few frames and THEN switches to a new track number and continues recording. This happens on every camera trigger. This is Sony camera behavior. 27) In External Mode with No Space Left, I accidently pressed REC and now I can t exit Main Menu: With EXTERNAL MODE (F1) set, if the user triggers the camera and records to the end of the FS-5 drive, the NO SPACE LEFT message appears. Then, if the user EXITS the NO SPACE LEFT screen, the presses the camera trigger again -- the NO SPACE LEFT MESSAGE screen appears again, but this time when exiting, on the MAIN MENU, the RED REC CIRCLE SYMBOL is present and no amount of button pushing can either stop, reset or exit the screen to another menu. Solution: Power Down the unit -- re-boot and return to Normal mode. 28) Unable to insert a USB Dongle with the power cable / firewire cable and Serial Cable connected: A special USB extension/attachment will be required for this setup. Available with most USB dongles. 29) When recording 24p in DV, where are the Quicktime 24p and AVI 2 24p settings? With the FS-5 in DV mode, for 24p recording, select Quicktime or AVI 2. 30) Which web browser does FS5 metadata work with? FS5 currently works with IE and Safari. Mozilla Firefox will be added soon in an updated version 31) What would be fast way to start working with FS5 Metadata? (To be added) 32) Why am I getting error messages from FS5 metadata while recording a clip? (To be added)

33) Is there a way to confirm metadata to a clip without HDD to a PC or Mac? (To be added) 34) How many browsers can I use at the same time with FS5? Only one web-browser at this time using Version ) Why does IPOD touch give limitations on what you can enter as metadata? The ipod is only supposed to be used for metadata entry. Not for export, setup template or setup metadata. 36) Once you hit the UI - it changes the screen for a second - but does not add a icon next to the value name. It is not showing the checkbox status (checked/unchecked) correctly. Why? You cannot make changes to any predefined values of that metadata field. It is on a per field basis and not a per value basis. 37) What does the REEL function key on the FS-5 do? The REEL function key switches between reel numbers during or after recording a clip. This way you can select any reel number you want without having to assign it to a function key. 38) When and how do you use the Organize Reel function? After you assign a clip(s) to a specific reel number(s), execute the Organize Reel function to finalize the reel assignments. Otherwise the clips will not go into the reel folders on the FS-5. 39) What do you do when the FS-5 freezes and the buttons (all except the power button) do not work? Press the power button once to turn off the FS-5 and press it again to turn it back on. 40) Why is a clip number still there after I delete it? The clip number gets reassigned to the clip after the one being deleted. 41) How do you prevent two frame pixelation that occurs during the first two frames of a clip recorded in 1080/60 using external or synchro control mode? Record using normal control mode on the FS-5. 42) Does Retro cache work in DV mode? No, Retro cache only works in HDV mode. 43) What do you do when the dongle does not turn on after plugging it into the FS-5? Press the power button once to turn off the FS-5 and then press it again to turn it back on. 44) Why is the clock time incorrect after I set it? When formatting in UDF the clock time changes by approximately seven hours. 45) What do you do when the FS-5 drive is full and, after pressing record again, the red record symbol won t go away no matter which button you push? Power down the FS-5 and then power it back up. Be sure to either export or delete your clips before attempting to record any more clips. You can also format the FS-5 to achieve the same result. 46) Why does the loop all function occasionally stop playback at the end of the first of several clips? Need Technical Answer

47) Why doesn t the FS-CV start recording when I press the camera trigger even though it is set for External Control? The DVZ function of the camera did not change into the necessary mode for External Control. Evidence of this can be seen on the camera s VTR display. Look for the DVZ symbol on the VTR. When the FS-CV is set for Normal Control it should look like DVZ and for External Control it should look like DVZ. But when experiencing this problem, the VTR will permanently display DVZ There are two reasons for this: 1) A DTE format other than Quicktime, MXF, or M2T was selected on the FS-CV, and 2) The FS-CV was switched from Normal to External Control. To solve this, press record on the FS-CV after the camera starts recording in order to engage the correct DVZ mode on the camera. 48) In Avid, why don t 24 FPS clips open in 24 FPS projects? Avid interprets them as FPS clips even though they are 24 FPS clips. 49) Why does the audio/video stream go out of sync when editing HDV/24 FPS clips in Avid? Avid interprets them as FPS clips even though they are 24 FPS clips. 50) Why do some clips not show up in Avid? Make sure to delete all left over project files (.pmr, and.mdv) from the Avid media file directory on the hard drive and FS-5 drive before starting a new project. 51) In Avid, why do wide screen DV clips get stretched vertically when opened in 30i projects? In order to preserve the wide screen aspect ratio, wide screen clips must be opened in 1080 projects. 52) 2-Frame Pixel Corruption in MXF - Avid 3.0 With 1080/60 or 1080/50 MXF format, if the user imports the clips into AVID 3.0, when viewing the clip in the viewer or timeline, the first 2 frames of each clip has pixel corruption. Note: This includes each FAT clip -- the first 2 frames at each boundary also contain the pixel corruption. 53) Why don t the metadata template fields Master Comment 3 and Master Comment 4 show up in the FCP browser? In order to make the Master Comment 3 & 4 template fields appear in the FCP browser, right click on the header bar of the browser and scroll down the menu to find Show Master Comment 3/4".

54) Why don t the XML clips import into FCP? The XML files and their corresponding video files separate after performing the user export web function. This happens when the organize reel function and the user export web function are both used for the same clip(s). In order to prevent this, metadata and reels should be used exclusively from each other. 55) The timecode counter on the FS-CV User Entry page pauses for 5 seconds then continues while recording. Frequently, when using Internet Explorer and Windows XP the time code in the Rec. Counter on the Entry Tab of the FS-CV Web page pauses for 5 seconds then continues. The counter is accurate. 56) Why does the FS-CV show frozen timecode while recording in HDV/Ext TC/Normal Control mode? When connected to the Canon XH-A1, the FS-CV reads the timecode from the tape instead of the free run timecode generated by the camera. Therefore, when the tape is stopped the timecode appears on the FS-CV as frozen. 55) Why does the FS-CV show a blank space where the timecode should be? When the FS-CV is in DV/Ext TC/Normal mode it reads the timecode from the tape instead of the free run timecode generated by the camera. Because of this, when the tape is stopped it causes the FS-CV timecode display to be blank. 56) FCP Example" template appears on the FS-5 Home Screen when not using metadata. The FS-5's default template name "FCP Example" appears at the bottom left of the FS-5 Home Screen (while in record or record-pause state) even when the FS-5 is not connected to the web interface. There is no way for the user to remove it from the display when metadata is not in use. 57) With TIMELAPSE and CANOPUS AVI several beeps emit from the unit and the COUNTER DISPLAY rotates between different displays. This is limited to the Canopus AVI format. To turn off the beeps, turn off the ALARM. The counter display changes do not affect the recording. The Canopus Timelapse avi file is OK.

Metadata Frequently Asked Questions: When first setting up a WiFi network to use with the itouch for recording metadata with video, it is common for the itouch to fail to connect to the web interface even if all settings are correct. When this happens, the WiFi capability of the itouch is automatically turned off and the IP Address of the WiFi network that was just created is automatically deleted. This will only happen the first time the itouch attempts and fails to connect to the web interface using a new WiFi network/essid. There are two basic steps to correct this. 1. Turn WiFi back on in Settings of the itouch. Then re-type the IP address in the network settings of the network that you had previously set up (same as the ESSID in the FS-5). Now either leave the Subnet Mask blank or type in and open Safari again. Go to the IP address you...ve been trying to connect to. If it connects then you...re on your way. If not, proceed to the next step. 2. On the itouch, go back to the network settings of the WiFi network you are attempting to use. If you had typed in a Subnet Mask, delete it. If Subnet Mask was blank, type in and open Safari. You should now be able to connect to the web server using the IP address associated with your WiFi network. If not, check to make sure that you have the IP address exactly right in the URL bar. Also, on the itouch WiFi network settings screen be sure it is set to "Static" at the top and that all fields other than IP Address and Subnet Mask are blank. When setting clip markers using the web interface while recording video, the markers do not show up in Final Cut Pro unless the two TC-Dependent metadata fields, "Name" and "Comment", are enabled on the Template page before recording. When they are disabled, the Entry screen still allows the user to set markers (without names) while recording, but they don't appear after importing the XML file into FCP. The manual explains markers on page 60, however no information about how they show up in FCP is given. With the wired Ethernet connection, on the Entry Page, when the user enters a template name, description and at least 50 characters in pre-defined values and then presses Record, then stop -- when trying to use the Update Button, the Name and Comment entry buttons do not appear -- the button appears cut off. The metadata also does not attach itself to the clip when viewing in Final Cut Pro. Note: The Update Button will work when only 49 characters are used in pre-defined values (with 49 characters, there is just enough of the button graphic to push) You are able to update the entry using the itouch -- even with 50 characters in the pre-defined values. When enabling and using all template fields available while recording, "Master Comment 3" and "Master Comment 4" do not show up in the browser of Final Cut Pro at all after importing the XML file. All other fields show up with dynamic and pre-defined metadata values that the user selected or typed in while recording. When a template is currently selected in the Entry screen, it cannot be deleted in the Admin Template screen. When trying to do so an error message pops up saying the template can't be deleted because it is "currently by a track, is the Default Template, or is used by a reel and therefore cannot be delete," which did not give a clear reason why it couldn't be deleted in this scenario. Page 56 of the manual only explains that the Delete Template "...function allows the user to select and delete templates from the FS-5." Once the user switches templates in the Entry screen, the template that couldn't be deleted before can now be deleted.

Q: Why can t I make a new template with the itouch? A: To create a template use an Ethernet (wired) dongle and a computer. Q: What is the ESSID? A: The name the user assigns to the WiFi network used for Peer-to-Peer / wireless connection to web interface. Q: Why can t I switch templates in the web interface on the User Entry page? A: Because the FS-5 is in record/pause mode (External/Synchro). Q: Why can t I delete a template in the Admin Template screen of the web interface? A: Because the template is currently selected in the User Entry screen of the web interface. Q: Is the default ESSID FS-CV for the Canon FS-5? A: No, as of the software. Q: Is the default ESSID MR-HD for the JVC FS-5? A: No, as of the software. Q: Why does it say FS-5 Connection Lost when I try to use the itouch to connect to the web interface? A: When first setting up a WiFi network to use with the itouch for recording metadata with video, it is common for the itouch to fail to connect to the web interface even if all settings are correct. 1. Turn WiFi back on in Settings. Re-type the IP address in the network settings of the network that you had previously set up (same as the ESSID in the FS-5). Either leave the Subnet Mask blank or type in and open Safari again. Go to the IP address you ve been trying to connect to. If it connects then you re on your way. If not, check to make sure that you have the IP address exactly right. Q: How do you set up and use metadata templates? General Metadata Process: In order to use the FS-5 to create metadata for your video recordings, it must first be connected to the web-based interface. The web interface is used to create metadata templates. After creating your metadata templates, they are automatically downloaded to the FS-5 database from the web interface. Then, using the same web interface to access the metadata templates stored on the FS-5 s database, the metadata templates can be attached to video recordings. Once all recordings have been made with the desired metadata tagged to them, the FS-5 is mounted to a computer equipped with a non-linear editing software program, like Final Cut Pro. XML files created by the templates while recording video are imported into the NLE. Each XML file corresponds to a specific template that was used during recording. When importing an XML file, the video footage that corresponds to it is automatically imported into the NLE as well. There are two basic ways to access the web interface: wired and wireless. In order to create templates, you must first connect the FS-5 to the web interface with a wired connection.

Detailed Metadata Process: Wired 1. Using the USB Ethernet adapter/dongle, connect the FS-5 to the router being used by a computer to connect to the internet. 2. Turn the FS-5 on. 3. From the Home Screen of the FS-5, right click (with the scroll wheel) to the SETUP menu. 4. Scroll down to NETWORK. 5. Set NETWORK to DHCP by pushing the enter button (center of the scroll wheel) on the FS-5 and toggling to DHCP with the scroll wheel and pressing enter. (If it is already set to DHCP, you don t have to do this). 6. In the same menu, scroll down to WIFI MODE and set it to MANAGED (using the scroll wheel and enter button in the same way as before). 7. Exit the SETUP menu by left clicking the scroll wheel and pushing enters to return to the Home Screen. 8. Re-enter the SETUP menu and scroll down to IP ADDR. An IP address should appear here. If it shows you will need to exit and re-enter the SETUP menu as many times as it takes for an IP address to show up. 9. Once an IP address appears, type it into the URL bar of a web browser on your computer (be sure to type at the beginning of the IP address). 10. The Entry page of the web interface should show up on the computer screen. If it doesn t, be sure you typed the address numbers exactly the way they appear in the SETUP menu of the FS Click on the Admin tab at the top of the web interface. This takes you to the page for creating metadata templates. 12. Type in a name for the template in the Template Name field. 13. Be sure New is checked. 14. Template Type should be set to Apple XML Interchange Format so that your template will be compatible with Final Cut Pro. 15. Click Add. 16. A list of 13 metadata fields will appear. You can disable as many of them as you want by clicking Disable at the far right of each field. They can be re-enabled by clicking Enable in the same spot. 17. At this point any changes that you make are automatically updated in the FS-5 s database so there is no need to save anything. 18. Once you ve enabled (or left enabled) all the metadata fields you wish to use you can type in a Friendly Name to replace each field s original name if you wish. For example, you might want to change the Scene field name to Rollercoaster Scene. To do this, click on the Click to edit phrase in the second column, entitled Friendly Name, and also in the Scene row. 19. A text field will appear for you to type in whatever you want. 20. Press Enter after typing in the new Friendly Name.

21. Once your template is fitted to your liking, click on the User tab at the top of the web interface. You are now ready to record video footage. 22. On the Entry page of the web interface choose your template from the Default Template drop-down menu. 23. Connect the FS-5 to a video camera using a Fire Wire DV cable. 24. Start recording footage by either pressing the record button on the FS-5 or your camera. 25. You should notice the time code counter moving at the top of the web interface screen in sync with the time code counter on the FS All the metadata fields you left enabled will now appear on the left half of the web interface. They will each have a blank space to type in any information you want. 27. After typing what you want (or not) click the Update button (one on top and one on bottom, both are the same). The current template is now attached to the current recording. (*you can type information and click Update while recording, after recording, or while playing back the recording. Once a new recording is started, clicking Update will only affect the new recording. You must click Update to attach the current metadata template to a recording.) 28. Once you have recorded what you want, disconnect the FS-5 from the camera and the dongle. 29. Mount the FS-5 directly to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable. 30. Go to the OPERATION menu on the FS Scroll to MODE and change it to HDD. 32. Once the FS-5 hard drive symbol appears on your Mac desktop, open Final Cut Pro. 33. Click on File Import XML starting at the top menu bar. 34. The Choose a File dialog box appears. Navigate to the FS-5 drive and choose the xml file with the name of the template that you created and used for recording. 35. A folder of the same name should appear in the FCP browser. Opening the folder will reveal all the clips you recorded and tagged with that metadata template. You can now drag them down to the timeline and start editing.

Detailed Metadata Process: Wireless 1. 14. Power on the FS Go to the SETUP menu on the FS Scroll down to NETWORK. 28. Change it to MANUAL. 29. Scroll down to WIFI MODE. 30. Change it to ADHOC (P2P). 31. Exit out of the SETUP menu and re-enter it until an IP address appears next to IP ADDR. 32. Take note of the IP address and scroll down to ESSID. The default ESSID name is FS Turn on your itouch. 34. Click Settings on the itouch home screen. 35. Click on Wi-Fi. 36. Turn the Wi-Fi switch to ON. 37. Choose FS5 from the list of wireless networks. If it doesn t appear on the list choose Other and type in FS5 in the Name field. Now click Join. 38. After selecting FS5 from the list of wireless networks a checkmark should appear next to it. Click on the right blue arrow to the right of FS Click on Static. 40. In the IP Address field, type in the same IP address as the one that is in the SETUP menu of the FS-5, but make the last two numbers off by less than 30. For example, if it says in the FS-5 SETUP menu, you could set it to in the itouch FS5 Wi-Fi network screen. Don t type the exact same IP address. 41. Set the Subnet Mask field to the exact same number as the IP MASK number in the FS-5 SETUP menu. This will probably be Leave the rest of the fields on this itouch screen blank. 43. Click the home button on the itouch to return to the home screen. 44. Open Safari -- Type in the IP address exactly as it appears in the SETUP menu of the FS-5 (be sure to type in front of the IP address number). 45. The Entry screen of the web interface should appear.

46. On the Entry page of the web interface choose your template from the Default Template drop-down menu. 47. Connect the FS-5 to a video camera using a Fire Wire DV cable. 48. Start recording footage by either pressing the record button on the FS-5 or your camera. 49. You should notice the time code counter moving at the top of the web interface screen in sync with the time code counter on the FS All the metadata fields you left enabled will now appear on the left half of the web interface. They will each have a blank space to type in any information you want. 51. After typing what you want (or not) click the Update button (one on top and one on bottom, both are the same). The current template is now attached to the current recording. (*you can type information and click Update while recording, after recording, or while playing back the recording. Once a new recording is started, clicking Update will only affect the new recording. You must click Update to attach the current metadata template to a recording. 52. Once you have recorded what you want, disconnect the FS-5 from the camera and the dongle. 53. Mount the FS-5 directly to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable. 54. Go to the OPERATION menu on the FS Scroll to MODE and change it to HDD. 56. Once the FS-5 hard drive symbol appears on your Mac desktop, open Final Cut Pro. 57. Click on File Import XML starting at the top menu bar. 58. The Choose a File dialog box appears. Navigate to the FS-5 drive and choose the xml file with the name of the template that you created and used for recording. 59. A folder of the same name should appear in the FCP browser. Opening the folder will reveal all the clips you recorded and tagged with that metadata template. You can now drag them down to the timeline and start editing.

Working with Non-Linear Editing Programs: Edius Pro: All clips on the FS-5 MUST be first copied to the computer harddrive then IMPORTED into Edius. If the clips are imported directly from the FS-5, playback in the NLE timeline will be very slow. Final Cut Pro: Importing the FCP_EXAMPLE folder into Final Cut Pro produces an error. This is normal. When IMPORTING the FCP_EXAMPLE FOLDER, an ERROR MESSAGE appears: "File Error: 30 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 30 unknown." All QT files are still imported and OK. Error Message Not a.mov file when importing a Quicktime clip: Run REPAIR CLIP on the same clip and then re-import into Final Cut Pro. Avid: All 3 pieces of the MXF clip (Video, Audio Left, Audio Right) must be copied into the Avid Media Files folder in order to be IMPORTED via the MEDIA TOOL. Adobe Premiere Pro 3.0: When FS-5 M2T DTE clips are IMPORTED into Adobe Premiere they must first go through Adobe s conform process THIS CAN TAKE SOME TIME. This is part of the Adobe NLE process and had nothing to do with the FS-5 M2T DTE file.
