1 Quick Guide to Boardingware: Parent Account A simple instruction manual to getting started with Boardingware. This guide will cover: 1. Connecting to your child. 2. Approving your child s leave request. 3. Approving your child s leave request via Viewing your child s live leave records. 5. Applying for leave on behalf of your child. 6. What to do if your have problems.

2 Creating your Boardingware Account. 1. When your school invites you to connect with your child you will receive an like the one below. Simply click on the Connect to my child link.

3 Creating your Boardingware Account. 2. You will see two links. One to create your account and one to log into your existing account. Select the correct link to move to the next step.

4 Creating your Boardingware Account. 3. If you clicked Create My Account you will be prompted to fill out a sign up form. Fill out and update your information, agree to the terms and conditions and the privacy policy, then press Sign Up.

5 Creating your Boardingware Account. 4. If you clicked I have an account you will be prompted to log in before you can connect your account with your child. 5. Once you log in confirm your are logged into the right account and click Connect.

6 Creating your Boardingware Account. 6. Check your My Boarders section to make sure the student has been linked to your account.

7 Approving your child s leave request. 1. When your child applies for leave that requires your approval, you will get an notification to approve or decline the leave they have submitted. To review your child s leave request, go to the Student Request Pending Approval tab. 2. You will then see the details for the leave request your child has applied for. Simply press the tick to approve or the cross to decline. 3. If you have shown your approval for this leave it is likely that the Boarding School Staff will approve the leave allowing your child to leave the school premises, so please view the details carefully. However Boarding School Staff may contact you if necessary.

8 Approving your child s leave request via If you get an asking you to approve leave made by your child. Simply review the details and either press Approve or Decline. This means you don t have to log into your Boardingware account to approve leave requested by your child. 2. Once you click the link to Approve or Decline you will be directed to a page to confirm your decision. Once you press Yes the leave will be successfully approved.

9 Applying for leave on behalf of your child. 1. To apply for leave on behalf of your child. Click the Apply For Student Leave tab. 2. If you have children in different schools or across different houses within a school. Select the house of the child you want to apply for leave for. Next Page...

11 Applying for leave on behalf of your child. 3. Fill out the leave form, accept the terms and conditions and click the Submit button. 4. Notice that you will have a new pending request. This will be transferred to the accepted or declined tab once the leave has been reviewed. You will also receive an notification when the status changes.

12 What to do if you have problems. If you did not receive an invitation . Contact your Boarding School staff and check that they have your correct address on the system. If they have the right address ask them to resend it. Check your Spam folder. If you cannot open Boardingware on your device. Boardingware is designed for modern browsers, please ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer installed on your device and try again.
