2 First Time User When you have been added to the Shape NC course for the very first time you should receive an , similar to the one pictured below, from Shape NC that details your username and password and other important details necessary for logging in the first time. (Note: if you do not receive this please use the contact information on the previous page to inquire about getting help.) 2

3 Login Problems and Password Resets If you experience problems logging into fabrikone please follow these steps. 1. Make sure that you have the correct URL: 2. If you have an incorrect username or password you will receive the following message when attempting to login: 3. Follow the Lost password link (circled below): 3

4 4. Enter your username or address and click send: 5. You will then receive an similar to the one pictured below: 4

5 6. Click the link provided in that and you will be directed to the website pictured below where you may enter a new password, retype that same password, and click Save changes : 7. After selecting to Save Changes you will be redirected to the fabrikone elearning home page where you can try logging in with your new password. Remember: Your username should be your first initial + your last name. For example, if your name is John Smith, your username will be jsmith. If for any reason you encounter issues that prevent you from resolving your login problems your next step will be to contact the Work Smart help desk. Help Desk Contacting Help We are partnering with WorkSmart to provide help desk solutions. When you contact Work Smart you must let them know your first and last name and that you are with Smart Start. To contact help you have two options: phone and internet. Phone Use this method if you need immediate assistance

6 Internet Use this method if your issue does not need an immediate resolution. You will be contacted when your problem is being worked on. Click here to create a Service Ticket Fill out and Submit the form pictured below providing as much detail as possible and referencing that you are with Smart Start. 6

7 Accessing the Shape NC Course Series Upon logging in you will find the following screen showing the course you are subscribed to: The Shape NC Healthy Starts in Early Care and Education Professional Development CEU Series. To begin the course, press Play! You will find the course materials listed along the bottom of the Shape NC logo. 7

8 Navigating Course Materials Browse the course materials by using the arrows. The course consists of 8 videos with corresponding videos and quizzes. Materials you have yet to access will have a gray icon to their left. Materials that you have accessed but not completed will have a yellow icon to their left. Materials you have successfully completed will have a green icon to their left. Quizzes completed but without a passing percentage will have a red icon to their left (click it to try again ). The Final Assessment & Evaluation can only be accessed by completing all quizzes with 80% accuracy (multiple attempts are allowed) and all assignments. This is the last step in completing the course and receiving either a CEU of DCDEE credit hours. 8

9 Resource Library Throughout the course there are many references to the Resource Library which is the final course material displayed. If you need to access the Resource Library, close the course section that you are in, scroll over to it, and return to where you left off when finished. Resource library materials can be navigated by clicking on the folders icons and by using the Menu. 9

10 Resource library documents can be downloaded by clicking a download icon. It will then appear in another window in your browser where you will have the option to print or save the document. 10

11 Completing Assignments After clicking to open an assignment, navigate through the prompts provided by clicking the options you prefer. If you need to exit an assignment for any reason, you may do so at any time by closing the assignment. When you return you can begin where you left off. 11

12 Enter and submit ONE reflection per assignment. Click the X in the top right corner to return to the Shape NC course. 12

13 Completing Quizzes After selecting the quiz you are ready to complete choose your answer selections and submit. Descriptions beside each question indicate how many selections to make. 13

14 Quizzes require a score of 80% or higher in order to pass the course and may be taken more than once using the Restart Test button. To view the questions answered incorrectly choose Show Last Results. 14

15 Once you have passed the quiz select the Back to Course button. 15

16 Finishing the course and submitting for CEU and/or DCDEE Credit Upon completing all of the quizzes and assignments the Final Assessment will become available. (Its icon will change from a lock to a play button.) Once open you will be provided with a link for the Final Assessment & Course Evaluation, the last step in completing the course! The link will open a Survey Monkey questionnaire within the fabrikone elearning platform where you may navigate the prompts and finish the course. 16
