1 General Service Bulletin General Service Bulletin Limited Warranty Processes ORDER No: DATE: November 11, 2013 Supersedes: ADM-SVB11D-EN Introduction The purpose of this bulletin is to define the limited warranty processes for use in the field for addressing issues associated with the Limited Warranty/Registration. Action The following is a list of each address associated with the Limited Warranty/Product Registration and the requirements needed to complete common requests. WASTARTDATES@IRCO.COM: To be used for the following: 1. Correct the limited warranty start date based on the date of install or date of occupancy: in the Subject line of the Include the following information : Model number, Serial number and Requested Start Date For new construction only, attach one (1) piece of documentary evidence supporting your requested start date: Closing Document (Customer must sign and list model and serial numbers on the document) First Utility Bill from Electric Company showing commission date (Customer must sign and list model and serial numbers on the document) Property Tax Statement issued by the County Tax Office (Customer must sign and list model and serial numbers on the document) Certificate of Occupancy Issued by the state or county (Customer must sign and list model and serial numbers on the document) For all other start date change requests, please provide one (1) piece of documentary evidence listed below:

2 Copy of Purchase Invoice (Legible) - Install Date vs. Ship date of equipment will be researched (Must contain model and serial numbers on the document) (Subject to approval) Sales Invoice showing the equipment was sold to the dealer (If equipment was sold by IWD) (Must contain model and serial numbers on the document) (Subject to approval) Exemption: For units sold through IWD locations, if the requested start date is less than 151 days from the ship date, a simple request to WASTARTDATES@IRCO.COM is sufficient with no supporting evidence required. For start dates outside the 150 day limit, supporting evidence is required as previously outlined. Note: On document, highlight or circle the serial numbers and start dates that pertain to your claim. LWREG@IRCO.COM: To be used for the following: 1. Product Registration Spelling Corrections/Name Changes/Address Changes Limited Warranty Registration number and action required 2. Falcon vs. Registered Limited Warranty Term Discrepancies The Limited Warranty Registration number and explanation of needed changes 3. Duplicate Serial Numbers The Limited Warranty Registration number and a digital photo of the unit s nameplate. If it is found to be a true duplicate, dealer will be asked to provide their mailing address to receive a new unit nameplate. Note: This is a lengthy process and resolution may take up to 4-6 weeks to complete. 4. Product Registration Term Corrections: The Limited Warranty Registration number and action required 5. Transferability Questions: Submit questions or request specific information 6. Modifications to existing equipment listed on the registration (Add/Delete/Change items listed on an existing Product Registration): The Limited Warranty Registration Number and action required

3 To be used for the following: 1. Add a serial number of a component/unit to the limited warranty database For normal serial loads, send the following information: Serial number and Model number (In subject line of ) Limited Warranty Team will verify if the serial number has an associated invoice number in UPDS If an invoice number is found that shows proof of purchase, the Limited Warranty Team will load the serial number If an appropriate invoice number is NOT found and no shipping records are available, a digital photo of the unit s nameplate may be required Unit start date will be 60 days from ship date. Evidence of unit start date must be provided if actual start date is outside of 60 days from the ship date (See documentary evidence listed under WASTARTDATES) To process heat exchanger Falcon claims for furnaces with serial numbers that begin with letters C through N, P, R, or Z, follow these special instructions: Serial number and Model number (In subject line of ) Please attach the Form shown on Page 5 OR attach a picture of the unit s data nameplate to your request To load serial numbers associated with In-Lieu-of-Warranty claims for heat exchangers, please submit requests to amy.leathers@irco.com. WACOILRETURN@IRCO.COM: To be used for the following: 1. Request reports regarding claims for No Fault Found Coils. Name of distributor and request for a No Fault Found claims report 2. Request general information about the Coil Return Program. Note: This address is to be used by distributor personnel only.

4 To be used for the following: 1. Change start dates associated with SPD (Shipped Product Defect) claims. Because of time restraints associated with filing SPD claims, there was a special inbox set up to facilitate these specific requests. See WASTARTDATES@IRCO.COM requirements. WARRANTYADMINISTRATION@TRANE.COM: To be used for the following: 1. Generic questions regarding Limited Warranty. 2. Correcting warranty terms in Falcon Expiration Date This bulletin will remain effective unless and until it is amended or superseded by Trane/American Standard.
