1 STEP 1 Register with the new Staff Portal These instructions will help you create an account on the new Staff Portal. 1. Browse to 2. Click on The Key icon.> 3. Most staff have not created a Key account. a. If you do not have an account, click on Create Account. b. If you have an account, use that password. c. If you created an account in the past but forgot your password, click on (Forgot password?) and follow the instructions. 4. Enter your: address (@maf.org First name Last name New password (note requirements) Confirm new password Click the Continue button 5. A confirmation will be sent to the address you entered. CLICK on the link within the to confirm your account. It should open a web browser and you should now be confirmed in the system. You are ready to go. 6. The next time you browse to the Staff Portal, your screen should look as follows (with your ) 7. For most staff, the Key account will match their registration code, so the Staff Portal will auto-register and not prompt for a registration code. However, if prompted to enter a registration code: a. Use your address. b. If you are with PACTEC and the maf.org does not work here, try your pactec.net address. c. If this does not work, it may mean that your account needs to be created on the new server. Please contact ministrypartnership@maf.org and we ll create it. 2 STEP 2 Upgrade TntConnect These instructions will ensure you are running the most recent TntConnect upgrade. This will not affect your current database until you are prompted to upgrade that database. 1. Open TntConnect on your computer.... > a. If you received a runtime error, proceed to step 2. (Most likely you have not run TntConnect in 2017) b. On the main tool bar, under Help, click on Check for Updates. c. As of 9/26/2017, is the latest update. d. Install the newest version as needed. e. Proceed to #13 of this step 2. If you cannot open TntConnect, or you are installing TntConnect on a new computer, in your internet browser, type in 3. Page down, and under TntConnect, click on Learn More 4. Click on Downloads for your type of computer (PC or MAC). You can also navigate through the Downloads on the main tool bar. 5. If desired, you can watch the five minute video about TntConnect 6. In the new page, click on Download Page 2 of 5

3 7. Sign in using The Key. If the next page opened with sign in with Google, click on Other Then click on sign in with The Key 8. Use the new account information here you created in STEP 1 a. Your b. Your password c. Select Sign In 9. For this sample, Google Chrome browser was used, the page returned to the download page, and the Setup TntConnect.exe box appeared on the bottom. Just click on that box 10. For other browsers, such as Internet Explorer, a pop-up window may appear at the bottom of the screen. Click on Run Page 3 of 5

4 11. In the pop-up window, Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer? select Yes 12. In the InstallAware Wizard, click Install or Next and follow the installation instructions. You are encouraged to use the default options given along the way. Even if you have the program installed, to install it again is fine. 13. When successfully installed, click on finish to Run TntConnect now. 14. You will not need to create a new database. TntConnect will open and find your database and prompt you to update it. STEP 3 Reset TntConnect to New Portal These instructions will set your TntConnect program to pull data from the new (remote) Staff Portal. 1. Open your TntConnect program/database on your computer 2. Click on Gift Input on the left side bar 3. If the pop box has a password section, it s the old connection, such as this sample 4. Click on the Download Organization List. 5. In the dropdown list, find and click on Mission Aviation Fellowship (new) The MAF logo should appear as well. 6. The pop up window will update with a new box. Click on Login Page 4 of 5

5 7. This will open your internet browser and go to new Portal for you to connect. Click on the Key and sign in with the account information from Step 1 on page one. 8. Click Approve. (This Step authorizes the new Portal to connect to your computer to send address and gift information to your TntConnect database.) 9. The page will refresh with this note, at which time you can close the webpage. The close button did not work. Just manually close the page. 10. Return to TntConnect. You can return to the pop up window and continue as normal with TntConnect, or close that down for a later time. If you have any questions, please contact MinistryPartnership@maf.org.
