6 6 Note: Registration Process (CONNECT) You only need to do this Registration one time only. It is very important that you must use your SIM MyMail address in this registration so that your Connect access is valid and your lecturer can recognize you on Connect. Please ensure your SIM MyMail address is correct (no typo entered) in your registration because Connect will send s (e.g. registration) to your registered SIM MyMail address. After the registration is complete, for subsequent logins to Connect, always start with your login at and follow step 1 (slide 7) and step 2 (slide 8 - yellow box, under the McGrawHill Connect Widget, click go to my connect section). You can access the assignments from your D2L course by clicking on the personalized learning folder (Refer to slide 16-20)

7 7 1. Click on your Course (e.g. COM0004 Business Management & Communication )

8 8 2. In the McGrawHill Connect widget box, click Begin Note: When registration is complete, please click on Go to my Connect section to access Connect from the Widget

9 9 3. Click Register

10 10 4. Enter your address and click Submit.

11 11 5. Take note of the expiry date and click continue

Complete all fields and check the box I accept, then Click Complete My Registration Enter your student number in the first box Leave it BLANK First text block put your student number Middle text block can be blank Last text block put your first name and last name Enter your full name E.g. Maggie Goh in the last box

13 13 7. Click go to Connect

14 Click My account to change password, amend any typo on name and address, click Submit to save changes

15 15 9. You are now at your instructor s course. This is where you can access your assignments and study resources. Note: DO NOT use /purchase the ebook in Connect, Please use Vitalsource e- Textbook (Refer to slide 37 to 55 for the steps to access the e-textbook online and offline)

16 16 Note: After the registration is complete, students can access the assignments from their D2L course by Step 1. clicking on the personalized learning folder and step 2. the assignment name 1 2 Note: Click on the name of the assignment to start directly (take note of the start and due dates)

18 Step 4: To begin and complete the Connect assignment, click Start assignment 4

19 Step 5: After you have completed the Connect assignment, click Submit. *Upon assignment submission, your Connect grade will auto sync (record) via your SIM GE eglobal gradebook. Step 6: Click on Return To Assignment List to verify your Connect score via your SIM GE eglobal gradebook.

20 Step 7: In SIM GE eglobal, click on Grades to view your Connect grade.

Once logged into Connect, before you begin taking assignments, scroll down to the bottom of your Connect Homepage window And click on the Troubleshooting link. This will ensure Connect runs smoothly on your machine. (refer to the next slide for details)

49 49 How to download your ebook to your computer (For First Time Users Only): The ebook has to be downloaded onto a computer first before it can be access on an iphone/ipad/android device/tablet. Printing of the book has to be triggered from the downloaded ebook on the computer and not from online view/iphone/ipad to ensure a clear image. 57 You will be prompted that you have recently purchased a new ebook, click on Download to download this Book.

58 58 To download your ebook to your computer (For repeat users), 1. Open the VitalSource Bookshelf app after viewing the ebook online. Your title should appear on your bookshelf.
