1 Analysis Report This session will cover the Analysis Report. The Analysis Report can be found in the Report Center, and presents a detailed report for each person who has completed the test. You may view all people who have completed the test, or optionally view only those that have completed it within a given date range. Analysis Report - 1

2 Getting Started The Analysis Report is located in the Respondent Reports Section of the Report Center, as shown here. To view the report, click the appropriate magnifying glass icon. Analysis Report - 2

3 Analysis Report Screen This brings you to the Analysis Report screen, which presents options that allow you to determine how the report is presented and which test results you will see. The first option is the Report Format. Already selected is Adobe Acrobat format. Since this is the best format for printing, leave it as selected. Analysis Report - 3

4 Sort Order The next option, Sort Order, is set to the default setting: By Question Order. This means that questions on the report will be listed in the same order in which they were presented to the respondents when they took the test. Analysis Report - 4

5 Report Date Range Next, you will select the Report Date Range, in order to determine which results will be included on the report. You see two dates presented here. The first date is the starting date for the results on the report, and the second is the ending date. By default, both dates are set to include results for the current month only. To see all results, simply set the starting date to one that is on or before the first day someone completed the test. For this example, enter the date "1/1/2000" into the first field in the Report Date Range, and press the Tab key. This will display all the scores associated with this test from January 1st, 2000 until the end of the current month. Analysis Report - 5

6 Limit to Incorrect Responses The next option allows you to choose between viewing all the questions faced by each Respondent, or only the questions that were answered incorrectly. To see all questions that test takers were presented with on this assessment, select No from the Limit to Incorrect Responses drop-down menu. Selecting Yes from this menu will only display incorrect responses. Analysis Report - 6

7 At the bottom of the screen are additional options: Show Explanations, Show Comments and Respondent Filter. These advanced options are covered in detail in the Advanced Reporting Filtering Techniques training demonstration, so they will not be covered here. Analysis Report - 7

8 Run Report After you have set all the desired options, you can select the Run Report button in order to view the report. A message will appear briefly while the report processes. It s important to note here that the report will open in a separate web browser window, so if your web browser is set to Block Pop-up Windows, it may prevent the report from appearing. If you are not able to view the report after clicking the Run Report button, you may need to contact your IT help desk for assistance. Analysis Report - 8

9 Once the report appears, you will see the address, name, and dates for each person that has completed the test, followed by a complete question-by-question report. Analysis Report - 9

10 This report is shown in an answer key format, listing each question topic, each question, and the possible answers for each question. The answer chosen by the respondent is shown on the left side of the report, and the correct answer is shown on the right side. Analysis Report - 10

11 Below that, you will find information related to the respondent s score: in brackets, you will either see the capital letter "C," for a correctly marked question; the capital letter "I," for an incorrectly marked question; or the capital letter "P," for a question that received a partial score. 12 You will also see how many points, out of the total possible points, were awarded to the respondent for each question. Analysis Report - 12

13 At the bottom of the report, there are several additional key pieces of information: Time Used shows how long the respondent took to complete the test; Score Percentile shows how the respondent score ranks against all other respondents who have completed this test - of course, this will change as more people complete the test, so it is most meaningful when no further testing will be done; Overall Result shows whether the score meets the requirements for a passing grade; and to the right side, the Final Score is displayed.
