1 Setting up "Classic 2nd Edition" This Quick Start Guide describes the necessary settings to manually connect a Solar-Log to the Solar-Log WEB "Classic 2nd Edition" web service.

2 1 Setting up "Classic 2nd Edition" This Quick Start Guide describes the necessary settings to manually connect a Solar-Log to the Solar-Log WEB "Classic 2nd Edition" web service. However, the automatic Easy Installation option is recommended. After registering for the Solar-Log WEB "Classic 2nd Edition," you will receive an with the access data. The data has to be entered into the Solar-Log. The network settings, such as the router's IP address or GPRS modem configuration, should already be configured before proceeding with the next step. This can be accomplished in different ways, depending on the Solar-Log model. The configuration file imports all of the necessary settings with just a few clicks, whereas you have to enter all of the data by hand with the manual configuration. 2.1 Importing the configuration file The with the access data contains the "solarlog_config.dat" file as an attachment. This file already has all of the user names and access data. Use the Solar-Log 's browser based interface to import this file and apply all of the settings. The configuration has been completed. 2.2 Manual Configuration For the manual configuration, all of access data from the registration has to be entered in the Solar-Log by hand. Step 1: Activate the Configuration System Display advanced configuration option Open the Configuration Internet Portal dialog Select "Classic 2nd Edition" as the Portal type Activate the Local Monitoring option (an additional tab appears) Activate the Activate transfers option Enter the HTTP server from the under Portal Server Select the desired Transfer interval SAVE the settings (A test export can be performed from the Status & Test section.
