1 1 Online Permitting Directions Please be sure to read the Electronic Plan Submittal Instructions before beginning your online submittal. A paper permit application is NOT required for upload, a permit application will be generated electronically once you complete the required information for the applicant s electronic signature. All other required forms will still be required for upload. Use this link to access the online submittal portal: Create A New Account (for first time users)

2 2 Enter information If you are NOT a contractor, please continue to fill out requested information (you will need to enter the address the work is to be done) and skip to page 5 If you ARE a contractor you must be registered with the building division to continue Click NEXT

3 3 Click ADD Enter license number or DBA (license number is more accurate and click lookup

4 4 Click on the correct name and click SELECT You may add additional contractors Click SAVE (you can go back into this page later and add multiple licenses )

5 5 Click SAVE You will receive this message go to your entered and copy the validation code This will be the body of the you receive Copy and paste the validation code from your

6 6 Click SAVE Click CONTINUE and you will be brought to the login page Enter your password choose remember me if you do not wish to enter it every time

7 7 Click NEW at the bottom to begin a permit application submittal

8 8 Choose your packet type and sub type (name is for your reference) click NEXT Click NEXT Fill in each tab tab will turn blue when completed or not required.

9 9 Enter the address and click LOOKUP - highlight your address and click SELECT Click NEXT to move across the tabs and complete each section fields with a red * must be completed. You may click save at any time and come back later. Tabs will turn blue when you have completed all the required information.

10 10 The owner information should be updated if what populates does not match your owner, proof of ownership will be required. When you have completed, click FINISH

11 11 Click FINISH when completed to go back to main screen, you will see additional buttons highlighted for action. NEW will create a new packet EDIT will allow you to edit the packet name DELETE will delete this packet ATTACHMENTS allow you to upload the required documents for review DATA will take you to the tabs screen REVIEW will show you the permit application created from the information you entered SUBCONTRACTORS provide the place to upload any required subcontractors You may do any of these actions at anytime Click ATTACHMENTS

12 12 Click the document you wish to upload (refer to instruction for required naming convention for your files) Click UPLOAD You may upload multiple documents of the same type by selecting your documents at one time (using the CTRL key)

13 13 When completed, click GO BACK If you have met the minimum requirements, and the percentages in the yellow box are at 100, you will see the red SUBMIT button If you have subcontractors to enter click SUB CONTRACTORS

14 14 Click ADD Enter the information, click LOOKUP and click on the correct subcontractor click SELECT and then choose the inspection class at the bottom Click SAVE

15 15 Continue that process for as many subcontractors you wish to add. When completed, click BACK

16 16 Click SUBMIT permit application will pop up Scroll through the application to ensure everything is correct Click SIGN

17 17 The electronic signature of the license contractor is required. Click SAVE When you click OK you will see this message The packet status has changed to SUBMIT. Please note that if your submittal is rejected, an will be sent to the Explaining what is still required.. The status of your packet will return to pending.

18 18 Deficiencies will also be identified in the rejection comments area which will no longer be grayed out. Click attachments and upload required information in its appropriate field, upon resubmittal, you will sign the application once again.
