1 Sage Accpac ERP Accounts Receivable 5.4A Service Pack 3 (080526) This Service Pack, contains a modified version of one or more Accounts Receivable program modules. The modification is not a full upgrade or a product replacement; it is a temporary program fix that is valid only until we release an update that incorporates these changes. Service Pack 3: 1. Fixed a problem found in non-english versions of A/R Items where the error "System Error. Operation not allowed when DatasSource is not active." is shown during startup of the screen. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Receipt Entry and Quick Receipt Entry which prevents entering another cash invoice (Miscellaneous Receipt) without detail lines. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Clear History where ARSTCUSO and ARSTOBLO tables were not cleared when the associated statement data was purged from the system. 4. Fixed a problem in the Receipt Batch Listing report (ARCBTCLZ.RPT/ARCBTCL.RPT). When the number of applied documents in an apply or receipt transaction exceeds a certain number, the documents do not show on the first page but start on the second page. Knowledgebase Solution ID Updated the ANSI compatible check forms (ARCHK01A.RPT, ARCHK11A.RPT) to meet the June 2006 standards. If the check's currency is different from the bank's statement currency then the currency code will be printed below the dollar amount, not before it as it previously did. 6. The source code in G/L journal entries created by A/R will now better reflect the document type of the originating transaction. This only applies if not consolidating transactions when sending data to G/L. For example, a debit note will now produce a G/L journal entry with a source code of "AR-DB" rather than "AR-IN" as it previously did. 7. Fixed a problem in Invoice Entry where the default tax class for an AR Item may be mistakenly considered exempt, leading to a warning message and the setting of the tax included flag to no when the item number is entered. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in the Revaluation and Provisional Revaluation Posting Journal reports where job details would not be printed if the revaluation date entered was different than the session date at the time of the revaluation. 9. Reduced the time required to return a customer check. Knowledgebase Solution IDs and

2 10. Fixed a problem in Receipt Entry where the error message "Error Type: 13, Type Mismatch" is shown when a user with a UI customization which hides the entry description clicks the Add button. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Receipt Posting where a Post in Progress batch is produced with the error message "Document. Record not found" when posting a Miscellaneous Receipt after a Prepayment applied by PO Number or Order Number in the same posting run. 12. Fixed a problem in Recurring Charges where setting the item number on the detail does not default any of the corresponding item related fields like the Revenue Account, Inventory Account, COGS Account, UOM, and Unit Price. 13. Fixed a problem in the Data Integrity checker where the error "The payment is job-related, but there are no supporting job details" is mistakenly shown after invoicing retainage for job related documents. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in the Data Integrity checker which caused the following error to be reported when there was no problem. "Adjustment transactions were found that have not been created in G/L but have a posting sequence less than "G/L Transactions Generated Through" in A/R Options." 15. Fixed a problem in Receipt Entry which resulted in documents being overpaid when using autoapply. This problem only occurred when there were other unposted transactions for the documents and the A/R option "Including Pending Transactions" is not set to "None". 16. Modified the Data Integrity checker to not report the following: - inactive fields in customer group if the customer group is inactive - inactive fields in national accounts if the national account is inactive - inactive fields in customers if the customer is inactive 17. Fixed a problem which prevented returning of cleared customer checks that were posted prior to BK54A. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem with Invoice Posting where the due date of posted invoices were being set to the due date of the first payment schedule regardless of whether the payment's amount due is zero or not. 19. Fixed Recurring Charges so that the correct tax base is determined when using a tax authority that has the Tax Base field set to Alternate Amount 1 or Alternate Amount 2. Knowledgebase Solution ID Remember user's column settings in Receipt Entry, Adjust form. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Invoice Entry which might cause the program to hang on a SQL Server database. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Customers. Subsequent attempt to add a customer fails after a custom macro cancels the first insertion. 23. Reduced the time required to check for duplicate document numbers when saving a miscellaneous receipt in Receipt Entry. Knowledgebase Solution ID Fixed a problem in Create Interest Batch. When creating interest batch with Age Document Balance option on, the interest amount may be incorrect for a customer that calculating interest by balance. Knowledgebase Solution ID

3 25. Fixed a problem which prevented the reversal of a miscellaneous receipt that has included taxes. An error message was being returned from Bank Services indicating that a rounding account has not been specified for the Bank in question. 26. Fixed a problem in G/L Transactions Report where cumulative totals are not correct when sorting by Year/Period in Functional Currency. 27. Updated the cash flow sample macro, CashFlow.avb, so that it works with Excel Fixed a problem when applying a debit note to an interest document during invoice posting. Instead of applying the debit note to the interest document, the interest document was being applied to the debit note. 29. Posting a credit/debit note to a document with a different customer will no longer produce a Post In Progress batch. Instead, an error batch would be produced allowing the user to fix the problem. 30. Updated activation to address problems when upgrading from pre 5.3 versions on Pervasive and there is a large number of records in table ARATR. 31. Fixed a problem dealing with posting an invoice or a miscellaneous receipt where the functional tax amounts going to the tax liability account differs from the functional tax amounts going to tax tracking in Common Services. 32. Changed receipt entry so that epos does not hang when creating miscellaneous receipts. Knowledgebase Solution ID Changed Statements/Letters/Labels not to suppress zero balance Credit Notes when printing statements for open item customers in the following styles: 1) Version 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 format 2) Transaction opening balance showing applied details. 34. Fixed a problem in clearing a check for an inactive customer which would prevent the check from being cleared. 35. Fixed a problem in Return Customer Checks and Reverse Payments where if the "Create G/L Transactions" option is set to "During Post" in the A/R G/L integration popup, and if the check is reversed successfully but creating or posting G/L transactions fails, a user will not be able to clear the check from the bank. 36. Fixed a problem in Customers, Customer Transactions, and Aged Trial Balance reports. Processing fails if selecting by any optional field but sorting by fields other than optional fields. This happens on MSSQL, ORACLE, and DB Reduced the time required to check pending transactions in Refund Entry. Service Pack 2: 1. Added aging option to Create Interest Batch. 2. Fixed a problem which prevents the proper entry number from being generated when a third party macro or program calls viewinit instead of viewrecordgenerate to create a new entry. This problem affects the ARIBH (Invoice Entry) and ARTCR (Receipt Entry and Adjustment Entry) views. 3. Added the ability to autoapply job-related details for credit notes, debit notes, and prepayments during invoice posting. 4. Added the ability to specify job details on the Prepayment popup in Invoice Entry for job related invoices.

4 5. Fixed a problem in customer statements where the Sort Documents By setting is not saved when the Settings/Save Settings as Defaults feature is used. 6. Fixed a problem in Return Customer Checks where reversing a check with a miscellaneous adjustment against a job detail didn't update the job's revenue balance correctly in Project and Job Costing. 7. Fixed several activation problems. Hot fixes Fixed a problem in the AR Activation module. When activating from 5.2A, the conversion of the ARATR table may fail if duplicate receipts exist. This only happens if user processed year end without purging posting journals. 9. Fixed a problem in Invoice Posting where a Post In Progress batch is created for an invoice document with a fix currency rate between the tax reporting currency and the home currency as defined in Euro Conversion Rates in Common Services. 10. Fixed tab sequence problem Receipt Entry that was not taking the cursor to the details after the Go button. 11. Fixed problems with entering exchange rates in Invoice Entry, Receipt Entry, and Adjustment Entry that occur when using regional settings that have something other than the period for the decimal separator. 12. Fixed a problem where item statistics were not being updated for item invoices created through recurring charges. 13. Fixed a refresh problem in Receipt Inquiry which resulted in the wrong customer number and name being displayed in the Receipt Information popup. 14. Changed Receipt Entry to set the comment in the bank deposit to the entry description. 15. Allow receipts that have been previously cleared to be reversed. This was supported in versions prior to 5.4 but was inadvertently prevented in Integrity Checker will allow user to change application options for Accounts Receivable for non-admin user, as long as the user has rights to the integrity checker. 17. Changed Receipt Entry to prevent assigning an invoice number to a cash invoice (misc. receipt) that has already been used. Previously this was not caught until the entry was posted, resulting in a posting error. 18. When manually entering job related item invoices for Basic projects that are Fixed Price (Accrual-Basis or Billing and Costs), the Unit Cost will be defaulted from the corresponding billing rate whenever possible. 19. Fixed a refresh problem in Refund Inquiry which resulted in the wrong customer number and name being displayed in the Refund Information popup. 20. Fixed a problem that could cause the error "Requested receipt was cleared previously" when reconciling statements in Bank Services. If a receipt batch contained an apply transaction for which the applied receipt had already been cleared at the time the batch was posted, any receipts, prepayments, and unapplied cash transactions that followed the apply transaction in the same batch would incorrectly be marked as Cleared, instead of In Transit. Service Pack 1:

5 1. Fixed a potential problem where Invoice Posting can produce a Post In Progress batch when processing retainage invoices, retainage debit notes or retainage credit notes. The problem is rare but becomes more prevalent when included taxes are used. 2. Fixed a problem where the user does not get a locked period warning when creating a new Invoice, Receipt, Adjustment or Refund when the default date is in a locked fiscal period. 3. Changed Invoice Entry to be compatible with Sage Accpac CRM Integration 5.4A. 4. Fixed a problem where ACCPAC Plus Conversion can produce unapplied cash receipts with the bank receipt amount not rounded to the correct number of decimal places. 5. Fixed problem when Aged Trial Balance report does not check customers that have credit limit set up by number of days overdue. 6. Fixed a problem in A/R Integrity Checker that resulted in an incorrect value for the total number of errors. 7. Added capability to sort by optional fields to Aged Trial Balance report. 8. Fixed a problem where the Aged Trial Balance report would skip some customers that should have been included. This problem occurs when printing the report a second time using fewer SELECT BY conditions than on the first time. 9. Fixed a problem where Receipt Entry prevents user from changing bank currency for a miscellaneous receipt once detail entered. 10. Fixed a problem in Refund Entry which may slow down the process when the option for duplicate check numbers is warning or error. 11. Fixed a problem where Refund Entry shows an error when entering details if the Default Payment Code's type is not Cash/Check/Credit Card in A/R Option. 12. Enhanced Terms Setup to support importing of existing terms codes. Previously only new terms codes could be imported. If importing an existing terms code then the existing terms code and all of its details will be replaced by the one being imported. 13. Reduce the time required by the Print Invoices form to mark invoices as printed when selecting invoices by Customer/Document No. and the default customer range is specified. 14. Added a fourth Customers report format. This format displays only customers that have customer comments within the specified follow-up date range. 15. Fixed a problem where Receipt Posting can produce a Post In Progress batch when payments with advance credit claims contain duplicate document numbers. 16. Fixed a problem in Refund Entry which prevented locked period warnings from showing up. 17. Fixed a problem where Receipt Posting can produce a Post In Progress batch when a job related miscellaneous receipt detail has a cost class of Material and the resource field contains a non-alphanumeric character like '#'. 18. Fixed a problem with the receipt report, ARRCPT.RPT where the first tax authority code is hidden when Calculate Tax is unchecked. Thank you for choosing a Sage Software accounting product.
