2 How To Sign Up A New User Step 1 Go To Click on click here to sign up Step 2 Fill in your info Fill out all of your details, verification code then click Submit Your info will be verified and you will be activated within hours

3 The Basics Step 1 Log In Log in with the user name and password you have decided to use during the signup process Once you have logged in you will get a screen that looks like this From here you can edit you Profile / get hints from the User Guide / Report any errors you may come across / look at any of your past projects / Create New Projects / Log out

4 The Basics My Profile When you click on My Profile you will be given a screen that looks just like the screen you got when you first signed up to use the program. From here you can update your info. ie change your address or change your password and any of your other personal info.

5 The Basics User Info Guide When you click on User Info Guide a new window will open up in your browser and it will load up a PDF version of the user guide to assist you with any processes you may need some help with within the estimating program Report Errors If you run into a glitch in the system click on Report Errors and you will be brought to a screen that looks like the one below. Please fill in any details your can about the glitch or if you notice something not quite right within the job you are working on. The message will go to our IT people to address the issue.

6 Create New Project Step 1 Click Create New Project Step 2 Fill in the details about your deck. Project Name: Give your project a name. Calculate in Feet/Inches: Select the measurement you prefer to work in Feet or Inches Begin With: Select the option you want to start your project with. Color: Select the color of the rail for the project. Total Width of Deck: Enter the total Width of all sections Total projection of Deck: Enter the total Projection of all sections. Width & Projection Example: See sample deck on the next page. Add Baseplate Collar: Select YES to automatically add them to the parts list, NO this will not add them to the parts list Click the Next button to move on and build your deck.

7 Projection Width Example of projection and width Width: Add all of the measurements in the total width of the deck ( =14 ) Add an extra 5-10 to the width as this will help center the grid on the following page. Projection: Add all of the measurements in the total projection of the deck (6 +4 =10 ) Add an extra 5-10 to the projection as this will help center the grid on the following page.

8 Step 3 Start creating your deck Rail Type: Select the type of railing you will be quoting. (Picket, Glass 5mm, Scenic 10mm, Gate) Note: If you select Century Picket you will get a drop down asking for picket type (see above) Height: Select the height of your railing, typical height is 42. Scenic is only available in 42 Direction Use this field to select the direction you want to draw your sections, this also works with the compass to the right. ie 90=-down, 0=right, 270=up 180=right Length: Enter the length of your railing sections here. Remember what you selected in the beginning set up. Feet or Inches. Hit enter or click the Save button Your screen will reset and default the Rail Type and Height to your last selections. ie if you picket Century Picket and 42 these will still show as selected so you will only need to input the next direct and length of your next run. Hit enter or click the Save button and carry on.

9 Step 4 Adding Stairs to your deck Rail Type: For stairs all you can do is select Pickets, we do not advise glass in stairs. Picket Type: For stairs you have two options. One for 5/8 pickets or 1 1/2 pickets Continuous Toprail: Select yes if you have a railing that exceeds 8 the system will automatically add the required parts (STLP, TRS, BPC 1 3/4 if baseplates were selected at the beginning) No if not. Height, Direction, and Length are all the same processes as shown earlier Hit enter or click the Save button Step 5 Creating the space for the stair opening or adding a gate Rail Type: Select Break/Space to create an opening for the bottom of the stairs. Select Gate to put a gate into the stair opening. Note: all gates have to inserted at the bottom of the stairs as it will not allow you to put them at the top. Direction, and Length are all the same processes as shown earlier Hit enter or click the Save button

10 Step 6 Changing Sections Here you will see the details of each section. ie Section #, length of section, and what type of rail is in that section. Use this button to delete sections. Keep in mind once you delete a section you will not be able to replace it or insert a new section. Click this button to edit the section you want to change. ie change section 4 from a space to add a gate. Rail Type: Use this field to make your Change to the section. ie changing this section to a Gate Height: This field is not editable as it is defaulted to the height of the railing selected during the project. Direction: Here you can edit the direction of the section. Length: Here you can edit the length of the section. Once you have made your changes click the Update button.

11 Step 7 Attaching to an existing post/column Rail Type: Select Attach to Existing Column Height: This field is not editable as it is defaulted to the height of the railing selected during the project. Direction: This will always need to be in the direction you will be continuing your next section Length: This is not needed Hit enter or click the Save button Step 8 Finish the Project Finish With: Select how you want to finish the project. Wall Bracket or End Post. Note: If drawing does not specify Wall Brackets select End Post If finishing at the bottom of a stair run select finish with end post the system will convert it to a stair post. 12 Project Info: Information about this project. Image: Image of this project. Grand Totals: A report showing material totals and MSRP for all of the individual parts. Parts Breakdown: A breakdown by section of parts required per section. Step 9 /Print the report. Click Back to go back to the project to make changes Click This Report to the report, to yourself or direct to your customer. Click Click Here To Print to print the report.

13 New Features There will be a new drop down menu to select 6 & 8 post spacing for Pickets 8 Post Spacing There will also be an additional drop down on this page to select weather or not you want the Grand Totals list priced. Fascia Brackets During the layout process there will be an option to select Deck or Fascia mounted systems. This option will default Deck Mount to start with, it will continue as Fascia if that is selected.
