1 The Federal Form I9 is a government verification process that checks if a candidate is eligible to apply for and work for and in the United States. Your Federal Form I9 is completed by accessing the Complete you I9 task in the Applicant Home Page. To successfully complete this process, you must first have access to ALL of the following: A working printer Either a scanner OR a good digital camera or mobile phone / smartphone rear camera 2 valid, unexpired, original IDs (photocopies cannot be used) A friend, coworker, roommate, or individual that is at least 18 years of age and is NOT related to you by BIRTH, BLOOD, or MARRIAGE who can act as an AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE. IMPORTANT REMINDERS: The submission of the Form I-9 documents is a critical requirement and must be completed within 24 hours upon job offer. Failure to submit the documents accomplished properly could result in the offer being rescinded. Please pay close attention to the correct process to accomplish this requirement.

2 Steps to follow: PRE-EMPLOYMENT 1 Log in to your profile. 2 Scroll to the Complete your I-9 task in the Applicant Home Page and click on the link to start your Online I9 form.

3 3 You will be brought to a page that allows you to view an online version of the Form I9. IMPORTANT REMINDERS: Make sure that you have all the items that are discussed above that you need to prepare before proceeding. It will be significantly easier to follow the next steps once they have been completed. You should be able to see the page below: 4 Fill out all the information for the first section of your Form I9 as required. Keep in mind that your information MUST be up-to-date and accurate. For the name information make sure the you have valid IDs that declare that name that are NOT expired. If you have any difficulties completing the I9 fields, you can always click here. Please note that you can check the N/A box beside other names if you do not have any other names or aliases used in the past.

4 5 Choose the IDs that you will be using to verify your name and employment eligibility for the United States. You must either choose to submit one (1) ID under LIST A OR submit 2 IDS, one from LIST B and one from LIST C. 6 You will need to supply the required ID information and upload a clear digital copy of your respective IDs. Please remember that your IDs must not be expired.

5 7 After completing all your uploads and updates, you will need to electronically sign your online Form I9. You will get a confirmation that you are going to be signing the page electronically and if you do that the form will no longer be editable. Make sure that your items are completely done and verified. 8 You will then need to have your representative personally sign the completed form and to do that, you will need to print the form out. You will not be able to access the form again if you are not able to print it at this time so again, it is critical that you have an active working printer.

6 9 A PDF file of the Form Receipt will be downloaded into your system. You will need to open that document and print the form. Save it in case you need to reprint. 10 The section that needs to be manually signed is the certification part of the second section of the Form I9. That part is right under the ID information and directly above Section 3. Your authorized representative will need to sign this page. Since SYKES HOME is a virtual company, you will need to have an individual apart from yourself that is at least 18 years old and is not related to you by blood, birth, or marriage to confirm that the IDs you are submitting to the US Government is genuine. The printed form DOES NOT NEED to be notarized.

7 11 Only the highlighted fields need to be populated. For the field highlighted orange, the only thing that needs to be written there is AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE. Since the authorized representative will be signing on behalf of SYKES Home, the Organization Name, Address, Town, State, and Zip Code, DO NOT need to be replaced. 12 As was mentioned, since SYKES Home is virtual company, we will need to designate an individual of your choosing to act as an Authorized Representative to sign on our behalf to confirm the validity of the IDs that you will be submitting to the US Government. Because of that the individual that signed your Form I9 s Certification must also sign the AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FORM I-9 DESIGNATION Form. This form is located in the Applicant Home Page under the Complete your I9 Task. Click on the form and print it out.

8 13 Your Authorized Representative will need to print his / her name on their respective line and the name of the employee must be manually written into their respective line as well. 14 Once both the Certification Part of the Form I9 and the Auth. Rep Designation form have been signed, it s time to upload them into your applicant support page along with the IDs that you have uploaded into online form I9. Click on the Help button on the upper right hand corner of your home page to get to the applicant support page. IMPORTANT REMINDERS: 1. The system only allows uploading of documents ONE AT A TIME. 2. Best file types to upload will be picture files like JPEGs and Adobe PDFs. 3. The uploaded files must be completely legible. 4. Uploaded picture of IDs must clearly show the name, ID number, and expiry dates as applicable. 5. You must upload files that show the form or the ID from CORNER TO CORNER. 6. If the above reminders are not met, your files will need to be reuploaded for them to be valid.

9 15 Take your files and leave us a support message. You can follow the sample below.

10 IMPORTANT REMINDERS 1. If you have made a mistake on your Form I9 and it has already been signed, please leave us a support message to inform us of the updates that need to be made on your online Form I9. Please do not manually correct the Form I9. 2. Please remember that you must have all the required tools and have your selected authorized representative available when you complete this process. 3. Please be reminded that expired IDs and photocopies will not be accepted. Please make sure you have valid IDs when you complete their process. 4. If you are going to be using a Voter s Registration card, it HAS to be a picture ID. 5. Please upload your items in one sitting. That way your preemployment coordinators are able to see all I9 related documents in succession on your support messages. 6. Please make sure that you thoroughly check you information before submitting them. If your information is incorrect and a nonconfirmation (i.e. the US Government is not able to verify your information as eligible to work in the US) was received, we will not be able to proceed with you for this position.
