The microprocessor controlled EFS 3000 converts all instructions via the central control panel into output and monitoring functions extremely rapidly and absolutely reliably. Invoice and payment Significant difference compared to "conventional" franking technology: Consistently controlled by a microprocessor. All input by way of a central control panel. Individual commands are clearly displayed and guide the user to the desired result. Incorrect inputs appear immediately on the display. The spectrum of functions reflects the variety of individual requirements in modern single-run and mass-processed mail operations. You can choose from three different postage loading methods for the EFS 3000: Payment at the post office and remote loading using TELESET modem or TELESET voice. The control registers ensure instant cost viewing; they can be called up at any time and provide the precondition for systematic cost reduction in the mailing department. The new TELESET system amounts to a declaration of independence from the post office. A simple phone call to the TELESET Data Center or postage withdrawal by modem is all it takes, and the EFS 3000 is freshly loaded with postage. Either on its own, as the beating heart of a high performance mailing line, or integrated into custom-designed systems, the EFS 3000 provides optimum options for permanent, future oriented extendibility. The mini mailing line: Feeds, seals and franks. EFS 3000/AZ A combination of automatic franking machine and high-speed feeder. All formats up to DIN C4. Full cycle output (12,000 letters/hour). Suitable for use as a stand-alone unit or integrated into a mailing line. Nonstop mail-processing: Dynamic weighing and franking. The EFS 3000 as the heart of a dynamic weighing system. The precision dynamic scale weighs consignments of varying sizes, quickly and accurately, and transmits the weight to the postage meter which immediately franks the right postage. Depending on the task to be performed, fixed postage rates, weight limits and mail endorsements can be easily programmed. The electronic rate book: Weighing and franking. On-line connection of the Miniscale 2000plus postage computer to the EFS The postage calculated by the scale and any special endorsements selected are automatically transmitted to the EFS 3000 for immediate franking. The standard built-in interface enables the EFS and the Miniscale 2000plus postage calculator allows instant communication of postage data. Direct control of postage and mailing class from the dynamic scale to the franking machine. A fixed weight class does not have to be maintained.

Well-arranged and easy-to-understand input fields make operation of the EFS 3000 child's play one of the most important requirements for problem-free operation by different users. All inputs are visible at a glance on the 10-digit luminous display. Incorrect inputs can be altered immediately. Operational information, incorrect settings and error codes are generated and displayed automatically so you immediately know what to do. That protects against incorrect franking or damage. You can even set a high postage limit to provide additional security. A great start to the day: When you turn on the machine, it automatically sets the date. Confirm the date and the EFS is ready to go to work. Selecting endorsements: At the press of a button or computer controlled. Up to four endorsements (e.g. registered letter, parcel, printed matter etc.) can be engaged at the press of a button. If operating on-line, the postage computer steers this function according to inputs made on the scale. It couldn't be more convenient. Label franking with push-button preselection. An integrated adhesive label dispenser coupledwith a preset facility lets the user print exactly the number of labels required. Reload labels with easy-to-use dispenser cassettes. For special envelope sizes or envelopes which are still open, the EFS 3000 allows you to shift the franking position by up to 100 mm, in a matter of seconds. Everything under control. The registers keep an eye on costs. Each register status (e.g. postage used, postage remaining and item count) can be called up at any time and shown in the display. A special feature: Select a minimum remaining postage sum at which the machine alerts the user automatically when postage is running low. Reliable monitoring of subtotals (value and quantity) help rationalize daily mail processing. According to cost centre or time interval, just as you wish.
