2 ! What is happening in the universities in the production multimedia area?! They are producing more and more content! They are installing audiovisual equipment of those types:! Unattended rooms (LCS: Lecture Capture Systems)! Recording Studios: classes, and content created to be recorded! Videoconference rooms: meeting rooms, other types 2

3 WebTV! Content is abstractly represented as digital objects that are formed by:! Video and other type of content like doc, ppt, etc (url)! Metadata: describe the content (set of pairs tag, value)! The metadata is basic to place a value on the content! Also is needed to have a CMS oriented to multimedia content to automate all process.! ARCA is at the end of chain. 3
