According to the main bamboo supplier in China, Tanboocel, bamboo fiber is anti-bacterial and a natural deodorant. It has been validated by the Japan Textile Inspection Association that bamboo rayon fabric still possesses anti-bacterial characteristics even after fifty times of washing.
