1. Quick Start Guide The Quick Start Guide explains in short steps how to setup the isys-3104 Traffic Monitoring System. 1.1. System Requirements igui-3104 requires Windows 7 (32-Bit/64-Bit) or higher.

3. Connections 3.1. Connect to isys-3104 Connect your isys-3104 radar sensor to your network and switch on the power supply.

Set the IP-Address of your device, make sure that TCP/IP settings of your PC are compatible and set Ok. 3.

Connect network- or USB-camera The igui-3104 shows a live-stream of a connected Network- or USB-Camera. 3.2.1. USB-camera Connect USB cameras before starting the igui-3104.

2. Network-camera Network-cameras can be easily selected with address, username and password.

6 3. Connections 3.1. Connect to isys-3104 Connect your isys-3104 radar sensor to your network and switch on the power supply. The boot up process takes up to 90 s, then the device is accessible over TCP/IP. 1. Click connect button to connect to sensor 2. Set the IP-Address of your device, make sure that TCP/IP settings of your PC are compatible and set Ok. 3. Read settings from Sensor is recommended. After starting the igui-3104 the cameras will not be detected Network-camera Network-cameras can be easily selected with address, username and password. 7 4. Configuration The configuration can easily performed using the Configuration menu. There are two tabs available. Start with the alignment configuration tab then proceed with the lane configuration. Input values are not checked with limitations specified in document [1]. First set the alignment of the Radar Sensor. Afterwards set the other parameters according to the mounted device. The Yaw angle can either set manual or determined by an Auto Calibration routine. Change the lane settings according to your real scenario. First set the correct number of lanes with Add Lane or Delete Lane. Then set the parameters for each lane. The parameters can be proofed by watching the Live-Data-Plot. Distance to Lane 1 moves the isys-3104 position on the Y-axis. page 7 of 12

Select frequency channel The isys-3104 has 16 different frequency channels.

If using more than one Radar Sensor in the same area, please select different channels to avoid interference.

8 5. Menu bar 5.1. File After successful configuration of the application scenario, all parameters can be saved to a configuration file (.ipf). It is also possible to load parameters from a file and send it to Sensor Options The Options menu gives the ability to change the system parameters Select frequency channel The isys-3104 has 16 different frequency channels. In delivery condition Frequency Channel 6 is set. If using more than one Radar Sensor in the same area, please select different channels to avoid interference. In case there are more than one radar sensors activated in the same area Network settings The Network settings can be set to DHCP or static IP address in this window. Please make sure that you have set the different IP addresses, when more than one devices connected in one network without DHCP server Change UDP port The Application Messages are sent via UDP Port which can defined in this window. Please use different device port numbers, if more than one device is connected in one network. Please make sure that these ports are not be used by other applications or blocked by any firewalls. page 8 of 12

How to eliminate unexplainable tracks Interference, caused by receiving radar signals from other Radar Sensors, often creates unexplainable performance. Time-stamp in application data The isys-3104 has no internal RTC. If the network has a running NTP server the device gets the actual time and outputs a correct time stamp inside the application messages. Otherwise the time begins at :00.00 h after power up. page 11 of 12
