1 Advanced Network Administration 1. Course Description Enabling Communication across Networks Secured Communication using Network Devices 2. Duration 5 Days 3. Purpose This five day course for L-2 Network Administrators introduces the concepts and services provided by the Protocols in TCP/IP Suite and configuring and troubleshooting using Cisco IOS. The utility provides a method for administrators to install and configure Network services like IOS Management,Routing,Switching,Security,WAN Connectivity and understanding the Needs of IP Address Assignment & Management, Subnetting, supernetting, VLSM & Protocols in TCP/IP suite. 4. Audience Network administrators, system administrators, or other personnel responsible for the installation and configuration of LAN & WAN Networks. 5. Prerequisites Before attending this class, the student should: Have knowledge of L-1 networking Concepts Have a basic knowledge of Different Hardware Devices. 6. Objective of the module. Understanding Internetworking Basics and concepts under Layered Approach Understanding Data Encapsulation and Framing In Ethernet Networks. Describe the general concepts behind each layer of the Cisco's Three Layered Architecture model Understanding the concept behind Tired Architecture concepts and services. Describe the need of Protocol Suite (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and AppleTalk) Describe the Basics and need of IPv4, IPv6, Subnetting, VLSM Page 1 of 7
