Agreements specify roles Nomcom Nomcom Problems within IETF are subject to our usual processes IAB Problems between IETF and IANA are subject to contract processes IETF Oversight Agreement Contract IANA Oversight provided by the IAB Model has worked well for 15+ years, yearly improvements are made when needs/issues arise, and there is no USG involvement 4
19 IANA Transition for the Protocol Parameters Transition planning takes place at the IANAPLAN working group a draft plan is under discussion IETF community is very clear that transition needs to stay within current operational model No change to roles of organisations No new organisation needed Still, an opportunity for improvement 5
