2 SERVER CLIENT SCANDAS SERVER & CLIENT Overview SCANDAS is a cutting edge universal data acquisition software that allows to aquire, log and trend data from any device that supports Modbus/ASCII, Wits and WITSML protocols ScanDas has been built with performance and user friendliness in mind, the intuitive user interface allows for an easy learning curve yet highly customisable The seamless configuration allows the same Hardware definition to be used for frequent projects with the same device, this makes ScanDas native to the connected device SCANDAS SERVER is connected directly to the hardware, reads the data from the sensors/ external systems and logs the data to the database In addition it acts like a server to ScanDas clients, ready to distribute the data gathered to other clients over the local netwrok or the internet SCANDAS CLIENT is connected to ScanDas Server(s) either in a local network or over the internet over TCP/IP protocol Everything that is happening real time in the Server(s) can be instantly monitored and ploted in ScanDas Client live in real time

6 6 SMART SIMULATOR MODBUS Smart Simulator Modbus (SSM) is one of fieldaq smart simulators series that simulates the behaviour of real hardware SSM mimics the behaviour of real sensors/ instruments very realistically eg pressure, temperature, diff pressure, velocity etc SSM can also re-play the data from the field from a real test and acts like the real hardware with the same data from the field This is especially useful for developemnt or training personel without the need for the real hardware and a real test from the field USER INTERFACE The user friendly Intuitive interface is carefully designed to balance between simplicity and flexibility with minimum configuration from the user MODBUS PROTOCOLS SSM supports all MODBUS protocols, MODBUS TCP/IP, UDP, serial RTU, serial ASCII, etc VARIOUS DATA FORMATS All common data formats are supported in SSM (Unsigned, signed, float, float reversed, double, double reversed, long et) AUTO SIMULATION SSM provides independent simulation of each register (channel) to be either fixed or variable (randomly generated values, that can vary between low limit and high limit) RE-PLAY DATA Data can be imported from the field to be re-played by SSM one line at a time and the user can set the frequency/ interval of scans REAL INSTRUMENT BEHAVIOUR Registers/ channels can follow a profile of real life instrument, eg: pressure temperature, differential pressure, velocity, volume etc Find more information on wwwfieldaqcom
