5 Data Integration: New Features Data Integration: New Features 1. New logging system Starting from 5.6, users will be able to choose to use the log4j system as a logging system for their Job executions. It allows users to manage detailed execution logs. 2. Support of Oracle 12 The Oracle components and metadata wizards now officially support Oracle 12, as well as a wide range of other Oracle versions. 3. Upgraded support of Teradata 1. Teradata 15 is officially supported. 2. Usability improvements for Teradata TPT: The Inserter, Update and Stream customer operators are all supported. Optional attributes for consumer and producer operators have been added. 3. Query banding is now supported. 4. Enhanced support of Vertica tverticabulkexec and tverticaoutputbulkexec support writing error/log information into files when using the Vertica Copy Local command. 5. ELT enhancement 1. All of the ELT Map components except teltsybasemap support generating the SQL statement with a subquery. 2. All of the Map components allow users to input a custom query when generating the SQL statement. 6. Contexts User Interface enhancement The Contexts user interface of the Studio has been improved to make it easier to create and use context variables. 2

6 Data Integration: New Features 7. Cloud components The following components have been added to the Studio or enhanced to provide more capabilities: 1. The tmarketoinput component now supports three lead selector types when retrieving lead records from Marketo. The tmarketooutput component now supports providing the status (CREATED, UPDATED, FAILED) and the optional error text. 2. Two tsalesforcewave* components, which let you load data to Salesforce Analytics Cloud. 3. Two tnetsuite* components, which let you read/write data from/to NetSuite. 4. Four tredshift* load/unload components, which let you load/unload data from/to Amazon S3. 5. Seven tgoogledrive* components, which let you create, upload, download, copy, delete, move and list files and folders on Google Drive. 6. Six tamazonaurora* components, which let you read/write data from/to Amazon Aurora databases. 8. Components enhancements The following components have been enhanced: 1. AS/400 v7.1 is supported. 2. The ActiveMQ libraries used in the MOM components has been upgraded to The tmomconnection component now supports WebSphere MQ and can be used or registered as a shared connection. 3. twritejsonfield has been improved to be able to output grouped columns into JSON fields. 4. The textractjsonfields component now supports extracting JSON fields based on JSONPath. 5. The tjdbcoutput, toracleoutput and tteradataoutput components now support batch mode when using an existing connection. 6. The tfileinputregex component now offers the option to filter out error messages for records that do not match the specified regex. 7. The tfileinputdelimited component now rejects rows of data that contain any non-nullable primitive field with the value set to null. 3

11 Documentation Documentation 1. Talend Help Center Find out more about how to get the most out of your Talend products on the Talend Help Center: help.talend.com. 2. Videos From within the Studio, you can now directly access the videos hosted in Talend Help Center relating to new features. For components, related videos are available from the F1 help view of this component. For other features, related videos are available in the help view of the wizard for the feature. Note that not every feature has related videos in Talend Help Center and for this reason, not all the features have this type of access. 3. Revised documents In addition to updates to the content across the documentation set, the following specific documentation changes have been made. The Talend ESB Getting Started Guide is now available in French as well as in English. A new chapter, "Designing a Spark process", has been added to the Talend Open Studio for Big Data Getting Started Guide. Two new chapters, "Configuring SOAP over JMS" and "Communication style", have been added to the Talend ESB Service Developer Guide. A new chapter, "Auxiliary storage", and a new appendix, "Backend configuration", have been added to the Talend ESB Infrastructure Services Configuration Guide. A new chapter, "Setting up the Talend ESB Active/Passive configuration", has been added to the Talend ESB Container Administration Guide. The chapter "XKMS Service" in the Talend ESB Infrastructure Services Configuration Guide has been substantially rewritten. 4.
