1 Epilog Laser Setup of the Mini Watt Build your stand. After the process is complete of building your stand the laser is now ready to be set on top of the stand. (Be sure the four corner holes underneath the stand line up correctly with the holes underneath the laser.) After the laser is installed onto the stand, you are now ready to set your Epilog Laser Driver onto the computer. Step 1: Windows 8 Computers must have the Driver Signature enforcement turned off. To do this go to the bottom right corner of your screen and go to the search icon. Type Advanced Startup Settings, and then click on the icon. Next, go to general, then click Restart Now. The next screen will come up and have the option to troubleshoot, click on troubleshoot, Advanced Options, Startup Settings, Restart, then click the number 7. Step 2: When the computer restarts, you want to pull up the Driver Disk. When the Driver disk loads you want to click on 64 bit driver install to start the process. The next screen will ask you to Unzip the files, Click Unzip then next. Install a local printer, Create New Port, Standard TCP/IP port, click Next.

2 Type in the IP address , then click next.

4 The detection process will begin. After the detection process is over you will have the option to click on the dialogue box named custom, click on this box, then click settings. You will see port name, IP Address, Raw will be highlighted, and LPR. Click LPR then move down the page to the box that says Queue Name. (YOU MUST TYPE THE QUEUE NAME EXACTLY AS FOLLOWS), type the word Legend into the box just like you see it spelled out. Click Ok, and then Next.

6 The detection process will begin. When the next page appears you will then select Have Disk, after you select Have Disk you will go to your disk drive and select the Epilog Driver for the 64 bit operating system.

9 You will then click Next, Install Driver Anyway, then this process will be complete. Step 3: Go to your Control Panel, Network And Internet, Network And Sharing Center, Click on the blue Ethernet icon, (the Epilog Laser must be turned on and connected to the computer with the Ethernet Cable), click on Properties, scroll down to Internet Protocol Version 4 and click on it, then click Properties again. Click Use The Following IP Address, Type this IP address in as follows , Click on Subnet Mask and it will automatically fill out to be Click ok then close out the screens. This will complete the Driver Installation.

Maintenance Of The Epilog Laser The lens cleaner is to be put on the Q-tip, you are to clean the top mirror on the lens head, the middle

13 lens, and the bottom lens every two to three days. The Never Wear Bearing grease is to be applied once every three months on the lip of the bearing rail.

15 Use Windex to clean everything except for the Mirrors and Lenses inside the cabinet. (Remember, the cleaner you keep the laser, the longer the laser will last you). Powering Up The Laser Your Epilog Laser is powered from a 110 wall outlet. Plug the power cord into the left side of the laser. Then turn the laser on.

16 The blue Ethernet cable is connected into the back right of the laser and to the computer. Fumex Filtration Setup Before using your Fumex Filtration System you must open the lid of the system and take the cardboard off of the top and bottom of your filters along with the bag off of the charcoal filter. You will then need a Phillips Screwdriver to place the hose lid on top of the main lid. The wheels will then need to be put on the bottom of the laser, (this process can be done by hand until it s time to completely tighten the wheels up.)then connect the

17 hose to the filtration unit and into the back of the laser. The process bellow is how the Filters are to be placed inside the Filtration Unit. o Charcoal Filter on the bottom o Hepa Filter in the Middle o Pre- Filter on top Downloading Your Bottle Jigs In order to download your bottle jigs you must go to our website below then save them to your computer. Setting up CorelDraw Click onto the CorelDraw Icon Click open Document, then click on the file you need to open. Or go to New Document Type in your page size (16 horizontal 12 Vertical) You can name the file at the top of this page Make sure RGB is selected. To change the setting from CMYK to RGB, click on where it says CMYK, then it will give you the option of selecting RGB Click ok and the process will be complete. Importing Your Files/Logo After your page setup is complete, complete the following process: o File o Import o Click on the jig layout you need, click import. o A black arrow will Appear, Click once to import the file. o Go back to your pick tool in Corel and Highlight everything. o Group everything together ( CTRL-G) o Then press the letter P to center everything to your page You will notice that you have to ungroup everything after this process in order to type in your text box, click CTRL-U to ungroup everything. You are now able to type in your text box what is needed to complete your job.

18 Click on your Text Tool, and then click inside the text box to begin typing. Highlight selected text to change the font and the font size. You must change the color from BLACK, to 40% Black on the color palette. Before you go to print you must highlight what you want to engrave with your pick tool. Print Setup After you select what is being engraved complete the following: o File, Print o Highlight Current Document on the print preview screen o Go to properties and complete the following in this order: DPI 400 Auto focus check marked Raster check marked Raster = Engraving Vector = Cutting

19 Combined is both Piece Size - 16x12 Raster Settings For Brown Forman Bottles 35 speed 100 power This speed and power must go along with the 40% black setting Image Dithering must be Stucki When Raster is highlighted Vector setting can t be changed Click Ok, Apply, and Print/Ok. Executing the Dashboard of your Laser Once the file is sent to the laser you will need to know how to use the dashboard. There are four main buttons you will use. o Go (which also means yes) o Stop (which also means no) o Reset (puts the laser back to its home position)

20 o Focus (Raise or lower the table by pressing this and hitting the up or down arrow keys) Other application buttons you need to know: o Red Dot pointer (Allows you to see where the engraving will take place) o X/Y Off (allows you to move the rail anywhere on the table) o Sethome (allows you to lock the rail into place in a new home position) o Maintenance, hit the down arrow once, go to restore home, click go. ( this will place the rail back to the upper left corner of the table) o Speed (allows you to see what you are running the speed of engraving at) o Power (allows you to see what you are running the power of engraving at) o Job Save (allows you to save up to 10, 2MB jobs inside the laser itself) o Job Delete (deletes the jobs) To run the job previously sent, just hit GO.

21 Extra tips Before running your job, you have the ability to turn the Red Dot Pointer on with the glass door open and see where the engraving will take place. Transporting Your Laser If the situation arises when you need to transport your Epilog the following actions must happen: o Run the table down so that you can put a piece of foam inside the laser.

22 o Hit X/Y off, then Go, to move the rail over the foam. o Hit Focus, move the lens head to where it does not hit the foam, then run the table up until the rail is securely on top of the foam and will not move. o Tape the glass lid shut so the lid does not fly open while you are driving. o Detach the hose connection on the back of the laser with a Phillips Screw Driver. o Place the laser on its back if you have a stand on it o If no stand, just place the laser like normal.
