1 How to create a simple ASP.NET page to create/search data on baan using baan logic from the BOBS client sample. Author: Carlos Kassab Date: July/24/2006 First install BOBS(BaaN Ole Broker Server), you can find it in this link: And make that the sample that comes with BOBS works for your installation. This ASP i am going to show you here is based on that sample because it is using the same table and dll. When your BOBS installation is working, install visual web developer express edition or if you have visual studio for.net 2.0 must work too. Here i am thinking that you have your IIS on your local machine. Lets begin creating a web site: Click OK You will see a screen showing an asp source, below left of screen click design to go to design mode, now start designing your screen:

2 Using the menu view->toolbox you will see a sort of icons. Drag a Label component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, now rigth click on the label and select properties and change the property Text to Name:, you can set font properties too. Drag a TextBox component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, press enter. Drag a Label component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, now rigth click on the label and select properties and change the property Text to Telephone:, you can set font properties too. Drag a TextBox component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, press enter twice Drag a button component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, now rigth click on the button and select properties and change the property Text to Create. Drag a button component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there, now rigth click on the button and select properties and change the property Text to Search, press enter twice. Drag a Label component from the toolbox to the design screen and drop it there. Your design screen must like like this:

3 Add a web configuration file to your project, go to File-> New File Make click on Add. Search <appsettings/> and replace with: <appsettings> <add key="serverip" value=" " /> <add key="serverport" value="32001" /> </appsettings> Save and close your configuration file Now make double click on the button create and select the next code and copy it to your source file, overwriting all your code: using System; using System.Data; using System.Configuration; using System.Web; using System.Web.Security; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; using System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts; using System.Web.UI.HtmlControls; using System.Text; using System.Net; using System.Net.Sockets; using System.Collections; public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page public enum STATE CONNECT, PROCESS_SESSION, DISCONNECT ; private STATE m_processstate = STATE.CONNECT;
