Printing - Graphics.com Type C:\ DOS\GRAPHICS DESKJET to make the GRAPHICS.COM file (for HP-printers) resident. - Windows 95 To make graphical printouts might give problems, when ENSITE runs under Windows 95. Therefore it is wise to generate a screen dump (press Alt + PrintScreen ), paste it in a text editor (e.g. WordPerfect, Word, etc.) and print it from there. Mouse - Mouse on COM1 To operate the mouse in ENSITE may give problems. Therefore, change the port setting of the CIU from COM1 to COM2 in ENSITE.ECS in the \ECS subdirectory. ENSITE - Communication If communication with the field is not possible, first the physical connection between the PC and the field should be checked. If the field connection is alright, but communication is still not possible, the communication settings in the setup should be checked. - Modem and With communication through a modem or through the PET interface, PET interface the instrument display may contain strange characters (like <ACK>, <STX> etc.). It is recommended to increase the value behind DisplayTimeout in the file ENSITE.ECS (which can be found in the \ECS subdirectory). Page 38

ENVIEW - F10 or PrintScreen To make a printout of the current window, function key F10 will send a command directly to LPT1: to print the current window. With this command, ENVIEW will reverse the contents of the window and then print it. If the GRAPHICS.COM is made resident with the option /R, ENVIEW will reverse the reversed contents of the window and then print it, this will result in a dark to black paper. To avoid this and save the printer cartridge, use the PrintScreen -key instead of function key F10. Page 40
