7 &KDSWHU HPP02 BASIC OPERATION 2.. Initial Setup In der to begin to understand the HPP02, let s use a program sample to operate it step by step. This will give you a feel of the HPP02. This Chapter is to prepare so that you can create a program with the HPP02 in the ON-LINE mode, monit and test it. Three wking mode of HPP02 are:. PLC on-line mode, 2. PC on-line mode, 3. Off-line mode. Please refer to the following f detail. Using DVPACAB5 cable to connect PLC and HPP02 using DVPAADP0 to supply power. Because the HPP02 does not have its own power supply, power is supplied from the MPU through the programming cable. The initial screen will display the version (VER. ) f 2 seconds. At this moment, the HPP02 is self-test. (Please refer to Chapter 2.. f PLC connection mode, Chapter 2..2 f PC connection mode and Chapter 2..3 f OFF-LINE mode). After self-test, it will enter the next mode. If the display is shown as left, it means HPP02 is malfunction. Please return it to your distribut. After finishing self-test, HPP02 will test the PC connection. (Please refer to Chapter 2..2) To make sure PC is in connection. In PC ON-LINE mode, main menu will be shown as left. If it can t connect to PC, HPP02 will test if it connects to PLC. (Please refer to Chapter 2..) To make sure PLC is in connection. DELTA ELECTRONICS, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2-

8 Please execute the PLC ON-LINE mode to display main menu. If the connection to PC and PLC is failed, it will show as left. to enter OFF-LINE mode. Please refer to Chapter 2..3 f detail. CLEAR to execute connection testing between PC and PLC. If the connection is successful, it will display main menu. Otherwise, it will back to the OFF-LINE MODE. The main menu in OFF-LINE MODE is the same as PLC connection mode, but some items are disabled in this mode. 2.. PLC ON-LINE Mode Connecting HPP02 to PLC in PLC ON-LINE MODE, you can read PLC program from HPP02 write HPP02 program into PLC. Please refer to the following explanation.
