1 SAP Master Data Governance 9.0 SP02 on HANA 1.0 CUSTOMER MASTER DATA GOVERNANCE, FINANCIALS DEMO EXPERIENCE: INITIAL LOAD OF COST CENTRE GROUP HIERARCHY

2 Background information You are a consultant for MDG-F, and you want to import a Cost Center Group Hierarchy from the ECC system to the MDG-F hub. Note: In this demo, when you log on with user mdg100-01, please replace ## specified in any data with 01. If you log on with user mdg100-02, replace ## with 02, and so on. You can use any user from mdg to mdg DEMO Scenario There are several roles involved in this end2end scenario: This session is split into 2 parts that must be completed consecutively, as they build upon each other. After each exercise, you will find a step-by-step solution. 2

Download the hierarchy from ECC Log on to ECC client 801 Execute Report KBAS_MDGF_SET_DOWNLOAD Enter the following values in the initial screen: Set class 0101 Set Name FGHRY Controlling Area MD## (replace ## with your group number, e.g. 02) Leading Field Hierarchy Name Hierarchy Node Hierarchy Leaf COAREA CCTRH CCTRG CCTR Hierarchy Name Hierarchy Node Hierarchy C:\temp\CCTRH_ATTR.txt C:\temp\CCTRG_ATTR.txt C:\temp\CCTRG_HRY.txt Note: Please create a folder on your PC to store the file; the path above is just an example. 2. Upload the Hierarchy in MDG File upload and trigger change request Open the File Upload application, upload the 3 files, and write down the number of the change request you have submitted. You have to upload the Cost Center Group Hierarchy Attribute first, the file name is CCTRH_ATTR.txt. In step 1, use the variant MDG_CCTRGH. In step 3, you will be asked to create a change request or to select existing one. Select Create Change Request, specify Type: Process Cost Center Group Hierarchies, Replication Timing: Manually Started After Release of Edition. After the upload, please note down the change request number. You then have to upload the Cost Center Group Attribute, the file name is CCTRG_ATTR.txt. In step 1, use variant MDG_CCTRG, and in step 3, select the change request you just created. Lastly, you upload Cost Center Group Hierarchy, the file name is CCTRG_HRY.txt. In step 1, use the variant CCTRG_HRY, and in step 3, again select the change request you created. Process Change Request Go to your change request inbox, open your change request, and finalize the processing. Approve Change Request Refresh your change request inbox and make sure your change request status has changed to Final Check to be performed. Open your change request, and approve it. 3

10 2. Upload the Hierarchy in MDG Customizing settings Make sure your user is assigned as workflow processor Run transaction PPOM, search Position: MDG Financial Data Administrator. Verify that your user is assigned. File upload and trigger change request Open the File Upload application, upload the 3 files, and write down the number of the change request you have submitted. You have to upload the Cost Center Group Hierarchy Attribute first, the file name is CCTRH_ATTR.txt. In step 3, you will be asked to create a change request or to select existing one. Select Create Change Request. After the upload, please note down the change request number. You then have to upload the Cost Center Group Attribute, the file name is CCTRG_ATTR.txt. In step 3, select the change request that you just created. Lastly, you upload Cost Center Group Hierarchy, the file name is CCTRG_HRY.txt. In step 3, again select the change request you created. 10

11 Open NWBC, and select the work center Financials: Controlling Upload File Change Requests->Processing of Multiple Objects->File Upload If the system displays the error message No Valid standard data model defined for your user master record, select the Change Model button. In the popup, select 0G as the standard data model, and enter the UI Configuration MDG_0G_Financials and the Edition 2015_Q1. 11

13 Enter File In Step 3, select the file Cost Center Hierarchy Attribute CCTRH_ATTR.txt. Click Next. 13

14 Enter Change Request If the system displays the Create Change Request popup, enter the required data. Enter a description that will be easy to identify. Type: Process Cost Center Group Hierarchies Replication Timing: Manually Started After Release of Edition If the system displays the Select Change Request popup, click the Create Change Request button and enter the relevant data. Click OK to continue. In Step 4, click the Execute Upload button. The last screen shows the change request number that you submitted. 14

15 Upload Master Data: Cost Center Group Edition and Variant Entity Type: Cost Center Group Type of Transfer: Attributes Edition: 2015_Q1 Variant: MDG_CCTRG Click Next until you reach step 3. Enter File In Step 3, select the file Cost Center Group Attribute CCTRG_ATTR.txt. Click Next. 15

16 Select Change Request In the Select Change Request popup, select the change request you just created. Please do not select change requests created by other participants. Click the Transfer button. Execute Upload Click OK to continue, and in step 4, click the Execute Upload button. 16

17 Upload Hierarchy: Cost Center Group Edition and Variant Entity Type: Cost Center Group Type of Transfer: Hierarchy Edition: 2015_Q1 Variant: CCTRG_HRY Click Next until you reach step 3. 17

18 Enter File In step 3, select the file Cost Center Group Hierarchy CCTRG_HRY.txt. Click Next. Select Change Request In the Select Change Request popup, select the change request you just created. Please do not select change requests created by other participants. Click the Transfer button. 18

19 Execute Upload In step 4, ignore all warning messages and click the Execute Upload button. 19

20 Check the Uploaded Hierarchy in MDG Open the Change Request from the Change Request inbox, or from My Change Requests. Navigate Select the Cost Center Hierarchy link. Alternatively, select the row with your hierarchy, and click the Hierarchy Processing button. 20

21 Review your hierarchy Expand the subtree. 21

22 Finalize your uploading Finalize your change request Return to your change request. Click the Finalize Processing button. 22

23 Return to your change request. Click the Approve button. Ignore the popup with the warning message. Congratulations! You have uploaded your hierarchy from ECC to MDG-F. 23
