25 When you select a clip in the Clip Browser, all parameter settings including check box states, except for Exposure, Kelvin, Tint and ASC-CDL maintains the previous values. When you restart this application, the settings are reset to default values. Parameters of Exposure, Kelvin, Tint and ASC-CDL are reset to default values read from a F65RAW file, when you select a clip. Input Settings Select the Workspace Color Space (color gamut and gamma curve) for the ASC-CDL in the Input Settings. The Exposure Index (EI) indicates the camera setting when the content was shot. If an EI different from the standard value of 800 was used, then the Exposure slider moves to match the EI value and a push (or pull) process is applied. You can also put the value back to 800 so that the push (or pull) process is not applied. In this way, you can view the content with its original luminance. Material Color Space: Indicates the color gamut and tone curve characteristic of a F65RAW file. ISO Sensitivity: Indicates ISO sensitivity value of a F65RAW file. This parameter is written into a F65RAW file shot by F65 camera. Exposure Index: Indicates Exposure Index value of a F65RAW file. This shows the F65 camera Sensitivity(EI value) setting used when the media recorded. Exposure: Adjusts exposure from default luminance from the original EI. The default is set to the same value as the Exposure Index. Select the exposure value among the following values; 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500,640, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000, 6400, 8000, or [ISO Index] Kelvin: Adjusts the color temperatures. It modifies Red, Blue gain based on the black-body radiator RGB balance curve. The default value is read from F65 camera Color temperature setting (3200k, 4300k, or 5500k); this is used as the norm of RGB balance. Range is from 2800 to The default is same as the value of White Balance in a F65RAW file. Tint: Adjusts the color balance between Green and Magenta. It modifies the balance of Green and the pair of Red and Blue. It compensates color balance adjustments by Kelvin slider. Range is from to Default is Workspace Color Space: F65RAW Viewer Operation Guide Mar-30,
26 Selects the workspace ( color gamut and tone curve ) for look control. It controls Linear to S-Log2 conversion or S-Gamut to ACES gamut conversion. Exposure, Kelvin and Tint are processed before this workspace conversion. Reset: [Reset] button is located on the right side of the Input Setting tool. When you click the [Reset] button, Exposure, Kelvin and Tint are reset to default values. Check Box: The check box located on the left side of the Input Setting toggles between the user color setting and default setting. Exposure, Kelvin and Tint values are reset to default when a new clip is selected on Clip Browser. Look Control When a clip is selected, the ASC-CDL parameters are automatically set to the values given in its xml metadata file or F65RAW file. These parameters are applied when the clip is viewed. Other parameters stay the same as the previous setting including all check box states. All of the parameters set in the Look Control, including the ASC-CDL parameters obtained from the xml metadata file or F65RAW file, are ASC-CDL encoded and are applied during processing and viewing. Note that the Workspace Color Space selected in the Input Settings will affect the result of applying the ASC-CDL parameters. Look Control contains the following elements. Image RGB Lift/Gain/Gamma ASC-CDL Image Saturation: Adjusts the color saturation. If the value is set to zero, a monochromatic image is produces. Range is from 0.00 to Default is Contrast: Adjusts the tone curve and it keeps the center of luminance value. The center of luminance are reflected the result of following Brightness parameter. Range is from to Default is F65RAW Viewer Operation Guide Mar-30,
27 Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the image by lifting all luminance. Range is from to Default is Reset: Resets the Saturation, Contrast and Brightness value to default. Check Box: Toggles between the user setting and default setting. RGB Red, Green, Blue: Adjusts the RGB gain of the image on color workspace. Range is from 0.00 to Default is Global: Adjusts the total gain; it keeps the relationship between Red, Green, Blue slider value.
