1 CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL 2017 IPAD PROGRAM Purchasing an ipad Cambridge Primary School is a 1:1 ipad school established since This year we have partnered with JB HIFI Solutions and they will be providing an online portal allowing parents to purchase ipads with an education discount. Alternatively, you have the option to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) which we will support to the same extent as previous JB HIFI purchased ipads. If you choose to bring your own device, we recommend an ipad with these minimum specifications: 32GB storage or above ipad Air 1, 2, Mini 3 rd /4 th Gen or Pro There are many different ways to obtain ipads, however we advise that you purchase from a trusted or premium Apple Reseller. Apple Certified Refurbished Products - Quality products at great prices - Rigorous refurbishment process prior to sale - Covered by Apple s one-year limited warranty - Covered by Apple s 14-day returns policy - AppleCare product can be purchased - Supplies are limited Third Party Sellers (ebay, Gumtree, local advertise or Amazon) Please be cautious when purchasing a device from a third party, it may not contain warranty or potentially set in lost or locked mode and will not work without credentials. We strongly discourage purchasing an older ipad model eg: ipad 2/3/4 (3 rd /4 th Generation models) as Apple are phasing out older devices in Education by reducing compatibility with MDM, ios, and new Apple initiatives. Therefore, we recommend purchasing ipad models Air 1, 2, Mini 3 rd /4 th Gen, or ipad Pro, this will ensure you the longest lifetime for your ipad. You may get an ipad at a cheap price but it may not be the original screen or warranty is voided meaning that Apple will not service the product in the event anything goes wrong with it.
