APPLICABLE MODEL VITARA (APK414/416/416D) P02, P22, P90** SX4 S-CROSS (AKK310/414/416/416D) P02, P22, P90** with Bosch Navigation unit (SLDA) originally installed 2. CONDITION (1) When searching POI, system will be rebooted. (2) Clock time manually set will automatically be reset to default date. (3) Correct GPS was not kept on system, correct vehicle address could not be determined and initial navigation address always be displayed. 3. CAUSE Software for above each function in SLDA was not good enough. 4. CORRECTION Reprogrammable software in SLDA has been improved. 5. COUNTERMEASURE FOR PRODUCTION Effective VIN and date VITARA TSMLYE21S ~ Production date: November 03, 2016 SX4 S-CROSS TSMJYBA2S ~ Production date: October 25, FIELD CORRECTION If you have above complaint about SLDA, referring to the system software update manual attached with this bulletin, download the latest software version 850 from Service Portal only in EU and install the software on SLDA. No need to change the SLDA itself. ** In case of P90 Russian market, SD card of latest software will be supplied by MSC Service Group. 3 SLDA (Smartphone Linkage Display Audio) System Software update manual Important note: User settings, except radio presets, will be erased by the software update and need to be set again thereafter. Wait until the end of the software update process before removing the software update SD card. Do not turn off the device or the engine during this time. If the engine is turned off accidentally, the device will shut down and the software update process may need to be restarted (point 3). 1 Prerequisites Access to Suzuki web portal: Correctly formatted and empty (no prior data) SD card with a minimum of 4GB of free space. SD card to be formatted with FAT32. 2 Software version check Check if the latest software is already installed on the system: compare the installed version with the version informed on the latest. To verify the software version of the SLDA unit, tap and hold the settings button for approx. 10 seconds. Then tap on the Software Version button to view the information. Important note: Do not install a lower version of software than the current version installed on your unit.

4 3 Download latest Software Access to Service Portal Download ZIP file and extract files onto software update SD cards a) Choose Downloads from the menu and search for Vitara APK (TSM), then click on the search button. b) Please open the Navigationssoftware BOSCH SLDA - Version 850 file. c) Click on the Softwareupdate BOSCH SLDA V850 link and save the ZIP file. d) Extract files onto software update SD cards Ensure the complete set of 14 files is copied directly to the empty SD card. 4 Start Software update Turn the ignition key on and start the SLDA unit Once the home screen appears, eject the navigation SD card and insert the software update SD card into the vehicle s SD card

5 4 Start Software update Turn the ignition key on and start the SLDA unit Once the home screen appears, eject the navigation SD card and insert the software update SD card into the vehicle s SD card slot. After the software update SD card has been inserted, the software update will start automatically and the screen will turn black for approx. 10 seconds. User will be notified with the below popup, in case of Software Update for older version is detected. Please choose to cancel. Important note: Do not install a lower version of software than the current version installed on your unit. 5 Software update progress After approx. 1 minute, the software update continues automatically. The update occurs in several steps the progress bar may not change for several minutes: a) Security validation (until 50 %): 6-8 minutes. b) SD card download: approx. 10 minutes. c) If audio is currently being played on the SLDA, it will continue to play until 86 % of the update and then turn off. At 86 % progress, the screen turns black for 2 seconds and then the update continues automatically. Important note: Do not interrupt the software update progress; wait until it is completed. The screen may turn black for a couple of seconds several times during this update. From the time of initialization, the total time required for the software update will be approx. 20 minutes.

6 6 Finalization The installation screen confirms successful software update installation. Once the software update is complete, eject the software update SD card. The unit will restart automatically. Depending on the software version of the SLDA unit, this will be preceded by a 300 second countdown or the restart will take place immediately upon removal of the software update SD card. The Suzuki logo reappears within 60 seconds of the restart. Turn off the engine for 1 minute, then turn the engine back on and the SLDA unit back on. 7 Confirming successful software update First, verify the software version of the SLDA unit (refer to point 2 for details). Second, reinsert the original navigation SD card back into the vehicle s SD card slot. Third, check the proper functioning: - Browse through the various audio sources. - Change the volume by swiping on the volume control slider. - Check if the device is switched off when you switch off the engine completely. 8 Troubleshooting If the software update was not successful: - Remove the software update SD card. - Wait for 5 minutes until the SLDA unit has turned off. - Restart the software update process from point 3 using a different SD card.
