8 2 GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SOFTWARE UPDATES air avionics 2 General Information about software updates The software of all subsystems is user-updateable through one simple update process. Software updates are performed with a USB-stick on the AIR Glide Display S. 2.1 Prepare Software Updates Make sure that used USB Sticks are FAT formatted AIR Glide Firmware files always have the same name, T bin. Make sure that update files are always named identically and do have the exact same file extension. Other file-names or files with other extensions are not recognized by AIR Glide Download latest AIR Glide Firmware: Support. Create a folder on the USB-stick named firmware, or use a previously synced USB-stick with already existent AIR Glide folder structure 2.2 Update your device Preparation: - Insert your prepared USB-stick into one of the USB-ports of your AIR Glide Display S. - Power up the device Update: - Go to menu file transfer update - Execute the update - Wait until the update is finished and the device has rebooted and re-initialized.
