1 Pilot Scout 2.0 FAQ 1.1 Can Pilot Scout 2.0 support WLAN test? Pilot Scout 2.0 integrates WLAN module and can support data transmission through WLAN, but cannot support WLAN test currently.

3 1 Pilot Scout 2.0 FAQ 1.1 Can Pilot Scout 2.0 support WLAN test? Pilot Scout 2.0 integrates WLAN module and can support data transmission through WLAN, but cannot support WLAN test currently. We will develop and improve it in the future. Pilot Scout 2.0 will be able to support only WLAN service test and common parameter collection, and will not be able to capture WLAN data based on monitoring mode or collect parameters which requires packet capture analysis. 1.2 Can Pilot Scout 2.0 support GPS? Currently, there are three types of Pilot Scouts, which can be separated by the first two digital characters of the Serial No. on the label. See the figure below: Only the Pilot Scout 2.0 which serial number starts with "17" supports built-in GPS module, but all Pilot Scout 2.0 devices support Bluetooth GPS. Users may select one or two modes as required. If built-in GPS is selected, external GPS antenna is required. If Bluetooth GPS is selected, external GPS antenna is not required (A Bluetooth GPS receiver is required). Pilot Scout 2.0 whose serial number starts with "28" or "31" are configured with dual test modules, which supports simultaneous tests. This type of Pilot Scout may support built-in GPS, which depends on the module type corresponding to CH2. Currently, only the MC7710, MC7700, and MC7304 modules support built-in GPS function. 1.3 What should users pay attention to during the installation of Pilot Scout 2.0? Pilot Scout 2.0 requires stable external power supply, and cannot be covered with shielding devices such as metal boxes, or deployed in places with weak signal strength.
