Software means computer programs in object code, provided by Avaya or an Avaya Channel Partner, whether as stand-alone products, pre-installed on hardware products, and any upgrades, updates, patches, bug fixes, or modified versions thereto. Designated Processor means a single stand-alone computing device. Server means a Designated Processor that hosts a software application to be accessed by multiple users. Instance means a single copy of the Software executing at a particular time: (i) on one physical machine; or (ii) on one deployed software virtual machine ( VM ) or similar deployment. License type(s) Designated System(s) License (DS). End User may install and use each copy or an Instance of the Software only on a number of Designated Processors up to the number indicated in the order. Avaya may require the Designated Processor(s) to be identified in the order by type, serial number, feature key, Instance, location or other specific designation, or to be provided by End User to Avaya through electronic means established by Avaya specifically for this purpose. Heritage Nortel Software Heritage Nortel Software means the software that was acquired by Avaya as part of its purchase of the Nortel Enterprise Solutions Business in December The Heritage Nortel Software is the software contained within the list of Heritage Nortel Products located at under the link Heritage Nortel Products or such successor site as designated by Avaya. For Heritage Nortel Software, Avaya grants Customer a license to use Heritage Nortel Software provided hereunder solely to the extent of the authorized activation or authorized usage level, solely for the purpose specified in the Documentation, and solely as embedded in, for execution on, or for communication with Avaya equipment. Charges for Heritage Nortel Software may be based on extent of activation or use authorized as specified in an order or invoice. Virtualization The following applies if the product is deployed on a virtual machine. Each product has its own ordering code and license types. Note that each Instance of a product must be separately licensed and ordered. For example, if the end user customer or Avaya Channel Partner would like to install two Instances of the same type of products, then two products of that type must be ordered. Third Party Components Third Party Components mean certain software programs or portions thereof included in the Software or Hosted Service may contain software (including open source software) distributed under third party agreements ( Third Party Components ), which contain terms regarding the rights to use certain portions of the Software ( Third Party Terms ). As required, information regarding distributed Linux OS source code (for those products that have distributed Linux OS source code) and identifying the copyright holders of the Third Party Components and the Third Party Terms that apply is available in the products, Documentation or on Avaya s website at: support.avaya.com/copyright or such successor site as designated by Avaya. The open source software license terms provided as Third Party Terms are consistent with the license rights granted in these Software License Terms, and may contain additional rights benefiting You, such as modification and distribution of the open source software. 7 Chapter 1: Introduction Purpose This document describes how to use Avaya Scopia Mobile features. This document is intended for people who want to learn how to use Scopia Mobile features. 8 Chapter 2: Overview of Scopia Mobile Scopia Mobile is an application for ios and Android devices that works with Scopia Desktop Server to connect users to video conferences. The mobile phone version offers maximum portability, while the tablet version leverages the larger screen. You can also transfer active video conferences between Scopia Mobile and Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints by linking Scopia Mobile with the endpoint. When you transfer the video conference to an endpoint, Scopia Mobile changes to the standby mode. For example, when you are out of the office, you can join a video conference on Scopia Mobile. When you reach the office, you can transfer the video conference to an endpoint. Scopia Mobile offers secure video conferencing through SRTP and high-quality video by using advanced technologies such as H.264 High Profile, SVC, and FEC. You can use Scopia Mobile either as a registered user having full access to the Scopia Mobile features or as a guest user who can participate in video conferences. 9 Minimum requirements for Scopia Mobile Note: Scopia Mobile is optimized to run on devices with ARM processors. Scopia Mobile does not support devices with Intel Atom processors. 10 Chapter 3: Preparing for video conferences Logging in to Scopia Mobile About this task Only registered users can log in to Scopia Mobile. As a registered user, you can connect to your virtual room or the virtual room of another user. You can: Connect to video conferences by entering the conference ID or by clicking a URL in the invitation. Connect to video conferences even if you are the first participant to join the video conference. Gain access to the Participants and Options menus in video conferences. Note: If the network settings of your device has a proxy server, Scopia Mobile also routes the traffic through the proxy server. Before you begin Get the following information from the system administrator: The URL of Scopia Desktop Server Login credentials 1. On the Scopia Mobile login screen, enter the following information: Scopia Desktop Server: You can change the server address later. Login Credentials (optional) If you log in to Scopia Mobile using a secure HTTPS connection, Scopia Mobile checks the SSL certificate of the server. If the SSL certificate is invalid, Scopia Mobile displays a prompt to approve the certificate and continue. 2. (Optional) Click the option to continue. 3. Tap Done. 11 Login screen field descriptions Login screen field descriptions Name Scopia Desktop Server Login Credentials (optional) Description The Scopia Desktop Server IP address, DNS, or URL. The address is required to log in to Scopia Mobile. The server address can be: An IP address such as DNS such as sd.company.com. The complete URL of Scopia Desktop Server such as URL>:<port number>/ scopia. If the Scopia Desktop Server is configured for a multitenant deployment, enter the URL. Contact your system administrator for the IP address of Scopia Desktop Server. The Scopia Mobile user name and password. The login credentials might be the same as your network login. Contact your system administrator for the login credentials. Customizing Scopia Mobile About this task Customize the Scopia Mobile profile settings, such as the name that other participants see in video conferences and default settings. The settings also include video resolution and automatic start of the microphone and camera. ios and Android devices do not support all profile settings. For example, ios does not support Participant Name, while Android does not support Demo Mode. 1. Log in to Scopia Mobile. 2. Do one of the following: On an ios device, tap Settings > Scopia Mobile. On an Android device, tap Scopia Mobile to open the application, and tap Options. On old Android devices, the profile settings might be in Properties. 3. Configure the profile settings. The address is required to log in to Scopia Mobile. The server address can be: An IP address such as DNS such as sd.company.com. The complete URL of Scopia Desktop Server such as URL>:<port number>/ scopia. If the Scopia Desktop Server is configured for a multitenant deployment, enter the URL. Login Credentials (optional) Mute Microphone Block Camera Participant Name Demo Mode Video Profile Contact your system administrator for the IP address of Scopia Desktop Server. The Scopia Mobile user name and password. The login credentials might be the same as your network login. Contact your system administrator for the login credentials. Mutes the microphone. Scopia Mobile automatically mutes the microphone in video conferences Disables the camera. Scopia Mobile automatically disables the camera in video conferences. The name to display in video conferences. The demonstration mode to view the features of Scopia Mobile. You do not need valid credentials to connect to Scopia Mobile. Deactivate this mode after you view the demonstration. The maximum bit rate to maximize the quality and frame rate of the video. The options are: Low Definition: The maximum bit rate of 256 Kbps. 13 Scopia Mobile profile settings field descriptions Name Description Enhanced Definition: The maximum bit rate of 512 Kbps. High Definition: The maximum bit rate of 768 Kbps. The system administrator might have configured Scopia Desktop Server with a lower video quality than the quality that you configure. Custom Rates The preferred maximum bit rate. This field is available only if you enable it in Video Profile. Show Call Statistics Presentation Only The network statistics. Disables audio and video. You see only the shared content on the web collaboration window. Muted upon Joining Muted by a Moderator Unmuted by a Moderator Sends notification if Scopia Mobile mutes the audio when you join video conferences. Sends notification if the moderator mutes the audio during video conferences. Sends notification if the moderator enables the audio during video conferences. 14 Chapter 4: Participating in video conferences Joining video conferences as a guest About this task If the video conference is locked, you can send a request to the moderator to join the conference. This request feature works only if the enterprise network has Scopia Desktop Server Release and later. 1. Enter the Scopia Desktop Server address. 2. Enter the meeting ID. Tip: Tap the meeting link in the Scopia Mobile invitation to automatically connect to the video conference. 3. Tap Connect. 4. (Optional) If the meeting is hosted on an Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint, tap Connect to your meeting. 5. (Optional) If the video conference is PIN-protected, enter the PIN when prompted. If the conference is locked, Scopia Mobile displays a message asking whether you want to request the moderator to join the conference. 6. (Optional) Tap Yes. If the moderator approves your request to join the conference, Scopia Mobile connects you to the conference. This request feature works only if the enterprise network has Scopia Desktop Server Release and later. 1. Log in to Scopia Mobile. 2. Enter the meeting ID. Tip: Tap the meeting link in the Scopia Mobile invitation to automatically connect to the video conference. 3. Tap Connect. 4. (Optional) If the meeting is hosted on an Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint, tap Connect to your meeting. 5. (Optional) If the video conference is PIN-protected, enter the PIN when prompted. If the conference is locked, Scopia Mobile displays a message asking whether you want to request the moderator to join the conference. 6. (Optional) Tap Yes. If the moderator approves your request to join the conference, Scopia Mobile connects you to the conference. If the moderator rejects your request, Scopia Mobile displays a message indicating that the moderator rejected your request. 21 Transferring video conferences to Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints Keypad command Description The options include different video window layouts and sizes, full screen, and options to view a fixed number of video windows. Transferring video conferences to Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints About this task Scopia Mobile searches for Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints nearby using acoustic pairing. The acoustic pairing through proximity sensing is designed to work in proximity to the microphone of Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints. The optimal distance between the Scopia Mobile device and Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint must be a maximum 1 m to 1.5 m. The optimal distance depends on the type of microphone pod used, which can be one-way or three-way, and the audio level of the Scopia Mobile device. The speakers of the Scopia Mobile device must be able to play audio at up to 19 KHz. When automatic proximity does not work, use manual pairing. On an ios device, you must manually adjust the audio volume for successful acoustic pairing. Result 1. Tap the screen. 2. Tap Mobile Link. Scopia Mobile searches for Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints nearby and lists the detected endpoints. 3. Do one of the following: To automatically select an endpoint from the list, tap the Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint name. To manually select an endpoint, tap Other..., and enter the IP address of the Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint. 4. (Optional) If the Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint is protected, enter the PIN on Scopia Mobile. The Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint displays the PIN. Disconnecting the video conference link with Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoints 1. Tap the screen. 2. Do one of the following: On an ios device, tap Disconnect Mobile Link. On an Android device, tap Mobile Link. 3. Tap one of the following: Disconnect Endpoint from the meeting: To disconnect the Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint and transfer the video conference to Scopia Mobile. Keep Endpoint in the meeting: To transfer the video conference to Scopia Mobile and keep the Avaya Scopia XT Series endpoint connected. Disconnecting from linked video conferences 1. Do one of the following: On an Android device, tap Back, and tap Yes. On an ios device, tap the screen, and tap Disconnect. 2. When Scopia Mobile displays a request from a participant, tap one of the following: Admit Refuse If you do not respond to the message in 30 seconds, Scopia Mobile automatically rejects the request. Only conference owners and moderators can perform this task. All participants who log in to Scopia Mobile with valid credentials can assume the moderator role. 29 Chapter 6: Troubleshooting Collecting logs from ios devices About this task Scopia Mobile generates logs for all video conferences. You can view logs of the 10 most recent video conferences. 1. Connect the device to a computer. 2. Synchronize the device with itunes. 3. Click Devices, and select your device. 4. Click Apps > File Sharing > Scopia Mobile. 5. Select a log. 6. Click Save to, and save the log on the computer. Collecting logs from Android devices About this task Scopia Mobile generates logs for all video conferences. You can view logs of the 10 most recent video conferences. 1. Connect the device to a computer. 2. Navigate to the data folder of Scopia Mobile.
