2 Güntner WiFi Communication Module The Güntner WiFi Communication Module is an application for the Güntner Motor Management GMM. The GMM controls the speed of the fans according to pressure or temperature; it also controls processes, thus creating an energy-optimised heat exchanger system. This management system is suitable for EC and AC fans and offers an extended range of important functions such as night setback, subcooling, cleaning mode, etc. Direct access via smartphone app Direct communication between a smartphone and the Güntner Motor Management via WiFi. Unit settings can easily and conveniently be applied via the app. Until recently, these settings could only be done directly on the GMM s plain text display; the Güntner WiFi Communication Module now allows you via app, web browser or VPN tunnel to control these parameters from a smartphone, tablet or PC. The app menu is clearly structured and easy to navigate, providing a quick overview of the operating parameters. Settings can be adjusted with only one click on one of these buttons. Access via web browser The direct communication between the Güntner Motor Management and a mobile or stationary terminal device can be established via network cable. The Güntner Motor Management can also be integrated into the corporate network via LAN and WiFi. The operation is performed via a standard web browser like Internet Explorer and Firefox. www router corporate network web browser Remote access via VPN tunnel Unit information can be retrieved also from outside the corporate network via VPN tunnel which establishes access to the corporate network. 4 Next step communication The Güntner Controls App allows you to configure your GMM (Güntner Motor Management) easily and comfortably with your smartphone. The app is exclusively designated for the corresponding hardware. The GMM requires the optionally available Güntner WiFi Communication Module. Additionally to the usual configurations, the Controls App offers an extended range of functions to give experienced technicians further possibilities for configuration and error analysis. In case an error occurs, the the troubleshooting guide gives a detailed fault description. The app analyses the possible causes of error and suggests opportunities to correct faults. All configurations, for instance after initial start-up, can be saved as start-up-protocols on your smartphone. The saved parameter files can be uploaded on to the same or a different GMM later. The Info Button gives you a short explanation of the respective functionality of each configuration possibility. The app is structured into five submenus Home menu, features, unit info, settings, service menu making the app clear and giving you a quick and straightforward control unit. The Home menu gives a short and precise overview of the current status of the heat exchanger; including errors, actual value, control value of the fans and activated functions. Features provides functions especially geared to refrigeration engineering to enable you to configure your heat exchanger according to your application such as night setback, Low Capacity Motor Management, Maintenance or Tear-off function. The Unit info menu is the central info board. Here you find all actual values and status information such as condensing temperature, power consumption and speed of fans at a glance. Settings allows you to make plant-specific configurations, e.g. adjusting the set point, activating manual mode (inverse or normal) or setting the threshold value. In Service menu you can adjust further settings such as configuring the PID controllers, setting the refrigerant or resetting the controller to factory settings. 6 7
