3 Dijit 5000 Series Workflow Input Data Software Controller Print Station MailScape MailScape Controller MailScape Jetscape Dual Controller Data Print Station Print Station A print station houses the electronics and software that manage the pumps, valves and filters that control the flow of ink, replenisher and cleaning fluids for the Scitex continuous inkjet printheads. The print station also controls various physical properties of fluids including temperature, pressure and ink concentration. Composer MPC4 Data Prep/ MPC Proofer System Controller 220 and Data Station 120 Data Prep Job files are created in either IJPDS or MPC format, using Scitex MailScape, Jetscape, Composer or MPC4 data preparation software. Files contain all the information needed to print the job, including font identification, font bitmaps, image position and fixed and variable data. System Controller 220 and Data Station 120 Using job files as input, the Scitex System Controller 220 processes data and commands and forwards information required for printing to Scitex Data Station 120 modules. Job files can reside on the controller s hard drive, a network drive, Jaz cartridge, 3.5-inch disk or magnetic tape. System software accommodates multi-volume magnetic tape files by spooling them to disk. The System Controller 220 is the heart of the system. It houses operating and application software, and provides a user-friendly operator interface consisting of a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Each controller can run up to four data stations, representing a total of 16 printheads in any combination of single or stitched heads.the System Controller 220, together with the Data Station 120 s increased font memory (64 MB or 256 MB), provides high-speed throughput of print runs.
