1 PIKA PrimeNet Family Digital voice, fax and VoIP cards The PIKA PrimeNet family is a series of innovative, high-density digital interface voice, fax and VoIP cards. The family represents a complete and scalable set of building blocks for the development of cost effective, feature-rich next generation applications. Depending on the configuration, card densities range from single to octal span T1 or E1 line interface connectivity. The cards combine a unique DSP architecture with a common API in two industry standard form factors: compactpci and PCI. They empower a broad spectrum of applications for present-day and future voice services, audio recording, and PC-PBX solutions. Each card incorporates our powerful AllOnBoard architecture. The cards come with independently scalable DSP resource modules. This enables DSP horsepower to be dynamically allocated to any line. System provisioning can therefore be matched to any grade of service. This eliminates the need to deploy rigidly planned and static systems that must be constantly reconfigured in order to keep up with changing demands. This feature dramatically increases scalability and enables DSP horsepower to be independently scaled and dynamically allocated. Our scalable architecture allows for the combination of multiple applications, which greatly simplifies service deployment. The API is a highly evolved host-based software engine that provides real-time management of board level resources including telecom network interfaces, switching, and DSP resources. In addition to on-board resource management, the API performs a number of complex functions related to telecom line protocols, circuit switching, voice processing, and conferencing. The API also allows you to add new features or increase the amount of resources at any time.
