1 LearnPads 2015 LearnPads and the software supporting them have significantly evolved. The new range of devices offered by LearnPad was unveiled at BETT To add to the Quarto 9.7 and Octavo 7.8 devices there is now a new Folio desktop tablet and a teacher Decimo 6 handheld device. The LearnPads are now sold in bundles of 8 as a Group Set and for the classroom there is a new Tabulus interactive Project table and a Murus 65 interactive display. All handheld devices are now wirelessly charged. LearnPad Training from Babcock 4S The Babcock 4S Computing/ICT team has significant experience in supporting schools with tablet technologies. We have refined our training based on the work we have done with numerous Surrey schools to reflect a model of implementation that we believe will have the biggest impact on outcomes for pupils. We train a small group of champions in the effective use of LearnPads in teaching and learning so that they can embed it in their classroom practice before it is extended across the school. Schools buying two or more group sets of 8 LearnPads (or Class Bundle) will have the setup* and training** included in the price. * Setup includes an onsite engineer to set up the LearnPads in your school, accessing your wireless network and controlled through the LearnPad Connect Management Portal. It is important to have a member of staff assist the engineer in the unpacking/boxing etc and also to observe how to set up the LearnPads. If the school cannot provide an extra pair of hands for unboxing the school may be charged between 1-2 hours for the extra time required. ** Training on the solution - schools buying two sets of 8 will be entitled to 1.5 hours onsite training for 3-5 members of staff (Champions) during the school day.
