Charges for installation, commissioning and instruction of operating personnel will be calculated on an individual basis or by agreement. Invoicing: All invoices are made out in euros unless otherwise agreed upon. Verification costs: Approved scales are supplied at the prices shown in the price list plus the cost of official verification. Warranty: 24 months. Information on personal medical scales The term personal medical scales covers all non-automatic scales used in medical care to measure body weight (e.g. hospital scales, baby scales, chair weighers and bed scales). These scales are subject to European Directive 2009/23/EG. However, medical personal scales are also part of the wide range of medical products which can be marketed in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC (MPG). Approval Approval is the official testing of a measuring device for compliance with design regulations and for the correct display of readings within the allowed error tolerances. Before a measuring device can be officially approved, design certification must first be obtained. Validity period of official approval Official approval is granted for 4 years for personal scales and mechanical scales, excluding bed scales and wheelchair weighers (2 years). There is no time limit for personal scales which are not used in hospitals. Baby scales are approved for 4 years, irrespective of whether they are used in doctor s surgeries or hospitals.
