2 Made To Measure in the Course of the Manufacturing Process Height gauges perform one-dimensional measurements on a surface plate, preferably in granite. TESA-µHITE we offer to you in this section clearly shows that the combination of surface plates and height gauges can be an integral part of a full measuring system. These versatile height gauge s dedicated instruments are used for the measurements taken directly on a machine or a group of machines. These measurements are usually carried out during the various setting and sampling operations throughout the manufacturing process. They are specially made for checking parts that are difficult to machine due to their critical sizes. No need to be an expert. Practically everyone working in the workshop can use any TESA height gauge. TESA MICRO-HITE 1 and TESA-µHITE are recommended for inspecting workpieces up to the fist size. TESA MICRO-HITE 35, 6 and 9 are mainly dedicated to measure workpieces up to 1 m in size. Low measurement uncertainties. With a resolution of,1 mm, the measurement errors are below 2 µm or 4 µm for a measured length of 1 or 5 mm, respectively. A World of Measuring Capabilities Each model from TESA offers much more than a simple height gauge. With their one-dimensional measuring capability, these height gauges can measure lengths in the form of internal, external, height, depth, step and distance dimensions. The measurement programme integrated into the control panel calculates all feature relationships, automatically. This programme can also provide additional key functions for processing the values measured in both coordinate directions to establish bore positions. The coordinates of the two directions are captured successively while the workpiece is rotated trough 9 or any other known angle. The highly accurate upright guidance allows form and positional errors such as deviations from straightness, perpendicularity or parallelism including runout errors to be measured as well.
