5 Page 5 of 16 Group selector Select the current group contacts via drop down or as tabs. The default group is Favorites while last selected group will persist at a restart. Status bar Displays current date time Adjust size of contacts with slider (current zoom factor in %) Displays current version number of your client Contacts Presence status color Picture current Skype for business picture or default image. To add a picture to your profile please refer to the Skype for Business manual. Skype for business display name Textual presence state For contact available endpoints (contact channels) Skype for Business Work Home Voice mail Instant Message To preset the default endpoint right click on the contact and choose another endpoint. The default endpoint will be highlighted in a blue color. Tooltip calculated on following Skype for Business fields: Calendar information Out of office notice Meeting subject Job title Department Office or location name Company

6 Page 6 of 16 Search field You can enter a text in the search field, the search start automatically when you stop typing. Type in a number you can dial the new contact. Exit application Before you close adds4b basic you will be asked if you really want to close the application.

7 Page 7 of 16 Missed Calls New feature is Missed Calls, You will find the count of missed calls in the sidebar icon. Click on the icon will open more details. On mouse over the tooltip will show you options, Right click to mark as read or mark as unread. Left mouse click will call the contact/number You can click on the three in bottom line. This will open the Missed Calls Window, you can search all your calls with calendar and see more details (all communication channels) of a contact, so you ll be able to write or chat instead calling them.

9 Page 9 of 16 Configuration functions adds4b basic Dashboard Open the Settings window in Files/ Settings from Top Menu Properties: Change useful settings, function is self explaining Groups: Choose the visible SfB Groups in adds4b basic Dashboard by checking the box Hot key: Choose the desired Hot key to bring the Dashboard on top

10 Page 10 of 16 Configuration functions You can directly use adds4b - basic without any further configuration. Configuration work is only necessary if you intend to use following functions: Change second call behavior (unanswered calls). Hot key selection for answering or making calls. If you want to change the settings, you can click on the adds4b Icon in the Windows Taskbar and select properties : Configuration UI These taskbar actions open a separate context window where you may check and change settings as described in the next sections. All changes will be active immediately after accepting with the OK button. 11 Page 11 of 16 Second call treatment These options are available for second call behavior: Enabled: an incoming call during an already established call will be signaled so that it is possible to accept this second call (and switch between the two calls if necessary) Suppressed: a second ringing call will not be signaled (no ring tone or toast). Standard Skype for Business rules for call forwarding of non-answered calls apply. (e.g. calls go to voic ) The default setting is Enabled which represents the original second call treatment of Skype for Business. Hot key configuration In the hot keys section of the adds4b properties window, you may define hot keys for: Fast Dial out Select a phone number in any application, press hot key to dial Answer call Press hot key to quickly answer personal or pickup group calls and hang up calls Transfer call Fast call completion when transferring calls. This hot key is only used if you have one call on hold during a consultative transfer and you want to release the call to the person you are transferring the call to Please take care that you do not select a hot key combination which is used by any other program. A warning will appear in this case. The selected hot keys will work independent of the active or foreground application. Please note that for Fast dial out a mouse selection on any phone number on the screen is needed to work with the hot key. A new conversation window will be opened automatically and the dialing starts without further user actions. As a default, Fast dial out uses <Ctrl-C> internally to copy the mouse selection to the clipboard. If this default behavior conflicts with an application you are using, you may switch off this feature and have to copy the number manually into the clipboard. The hot key will use the content of the clipboard, delete all non-numeric characters and sends it to Skype for Business. If you select None in the drop-down box, the corresponding hot key will be disabled.

12 Page 12 of 16 Operation mode If you want to change the operation mode of adds4b - basic for call control windows, select the desired mode in the drop-down box in the Options section of the properties window. Possible selections are: Do not show call windows With this operation mode, no additional windows or toasts will be displayed. Only Lync/SfB windows will be visible. Nevertheless, in this mode you may use hot keys, all call forwarding settings, and control the second call treatment. Other options The original Skype for Business or Lync conversation window can be hidden, if you want to get a cleaner desktop working with Skype and only need basic telephony functions. In case you need the additional Skype functionality such as DTMF buttons, you may open the original window at any time with the eye symbol in the adds4b - basic call control window. Autostart Checking this box in the settings windows will automatically run the adds4b basic client each time, when starting up your Windows OS. Please note: In order to load your contacts, your Skype for Business client needs to be running, too.

13 Page 13 of 16 Call control window for calls In this window mode, an additional popup window will offer the most important direct access buttons for handling Skype for Business calls. There are direct call control buttons for: 1. Accept and drop calls 2. Initiate consultative transfer 3. Initiate blind transfer or complete a consultative transfer 4. Expand call to 3-way conference (available during active call) 5. Put call on hold or retrieve it 6. Mute button for the active call 7. With the eye symbol you may switch off or on the original Lync or Skype for Business window. To reduce the number of open windows adds4b - basic deactivates the conversation window by default. If the call was originated from an Outlook (via Microsoft Office integration), the subject will be displayed in this window. You may position the call control window to a place where it does not hide any window control buttons: adds4b - basic remembers the location for the next call. Hoovering over title or subject displays full text (useful for long texts or names). Busylight configuration If you connected an optional Busylight (presence light and call alert) or a KuandoBOX (synchronizes your presence with desk phone state) to your PC, this will be automatically recognized by adds4b - basic. You may change default values of the connected device(s) via the context menu of the adds4b icon in the Windows systray. You may change volume, color and other settings

14 Page 14 of 16 Busylight ring tone Select your favorite ringtone and volume from the Busylight Sound context menu. If you change a setting, the selected ring tone will sound for your control. Busylight colors In the same way you may change the standard colors for defined presence states. You have following configuration options: Presence for busy in a call red pulse (default) steady red Presence for Do not disturb purple (default) red Your administrator may change color values, ring tone and volume centrally according to your corporate standard.

15 Page 15 of 16 Busylight Notifications In this menu you may define, how you want to be informed about missed conversations. Additionally, you may configure, if and how Busylight should signal new chat conversations. Hint: a new message in an existing conversation will not be signaled! KuandoBOX Fadeout time The fadeout time parameter defines how long it will take to reset the presence to the current Skype for Business presence after no voice is detected on the phone by the KuandoBOX. KuandoBOX Voice sensitivity The voice sensitivity parameter defines the sensitivity level of the voice activity detection in the KuandoBOX. If the voice volume is too low to trigger the presence to in a call, select a higher sensitivity level in this menu.

Compatible with certified Skype for Business phones (e.g. Mitel-Aastra, Polycom) Clients supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (32 and 64 bit) Installation To install adds4b - basic run the setup exe. The setup wizard will guide you through the installation. Licensing The client contacts Bressner to check if the license is valid. Transferred information includes: Skype for Business SIP address, Skype for Business version and Windows Version.
