3 1 Product Description Formatta E-Forms Manager is a server-based application used for the management, publication, signing, submission, and processing of electronic forms. It provides many capabilities for routing, automating and integrating forms and data with other systems. It consists of a web-based application that runs on a built-in server engine to provide user and form processing interfaces. Its administrative user interface allows form administrators to customize form publication and automation, and to configure integration of form data, documents, and generated images with other applications and systems such as relational databases, SOAP-based web services, content management systems, servers for routing, and authentication repositories for form user authentication. Used along with other Formatta tools, E-Forms Manager provides a complete solution for creating robust and secure data entry interfaces, making them available to your constituents, and automating the processes for gathering information from users which is complete and properly formatted the first time. Other tools that are part of the E-Forms Manager suite include: Formatta Designer: an easy-to-use tool for creating highly-functional electronic forms with no programming. Forms created in Designer are published in E- Forms Manager then configured for customizable user interaction, submission and signing, and back-end system integration. Formatta Filler: a freely distributable client application that allows users to open, fill out, print, and save forms offline while also providing secure real-time integration with the server for operations such as digital signing, submission, and data pre-fill. Formatta ifiller: a purely browser-based alternative to the Filler client that involves no downloads or plug-ins, but which provides a rich form interface visually identical to the form as designed in Formatta Designer. While an online means of interaction, ifiller allows users to download the forms they are working on in order to use them offline in Filler, or to save locally and open later in the browser to continue online use. ifiller is a web-based application that runs along with E-Forms Manager or as a standalone application connected to E- Forms Manager. 4 2 New Features Microsoft SharePoint ECM Connector. This release provides support for seamless integration with Microsoft s SharePoint document management platform. Access Image Portal ECM Connector. This release provides support for seamless integration with Access Image Portal system. Remote Signing Sessions. This release provides a new feature that allows end users to remotely sign multiple forms in ifiller without having to enter their username and password each time. 3 Enhancements Licensing. The licensing process has been enhanced to populate the license request form with the current license s information. Authentication Dialogs. All authentication dialogs will now display a message if the provided username and/or password is incorrect. 4 Fixed Issues [EFM-806] Installer SQL Server. An error may occur when upgrading an E- Forms Manager instance that uses a SQL Server database as the data repository. If integrated security is used to connect to the database, then a connection to the database may not be able to be established. This issue has been fixed. [EFM-813] Installer SQL Server. Upgrade of a SQL Server database may fail if integrated security is used to connect to the database. This issue has been fixed. [EFM-817] ApplicationXtender. Some PDF files that are attached to a form cannot be opened in ApplicationXtender. This issue has been fixed. 5 Known Issues [EFM-359] Exception thrown while adding a new Form Version after Browser's back button is pressed. If uploading a new form version and proceeding through the process up to Step 3 (Copy Settings), changing summary info then using the browser back button to navigate back to Step 2, changing summary info again then clicking Save Changes, the application reports an exception: An error occurred processing your request. Status Code: 500 [EFM-361] New form upload fails if form contains encrypted or signed attachments. Any file names for signed or encrypted attachments are unavailable when uploading a form into the catalog. E-Forms Manager Release Notes Page 4

5 [EFM-350] Deletion of form / index field mappings in ApplicationXtender setup takes two clicks when using Firefox 3 browser.
