3 1. General Product Information 1.1. What is Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? Autodesk SIM 360 Pro (formerly called Autodesk Simulation 360) provides powerful, flexible access to simulation software delivered securely in the cloud. It allows customers to realize the full value of simulation software at an affordable price, and to solve complex design challenges anywhere, anytime. Autodesk SIM 360 Pro complements design applications, allowing for customers to conduct simulations early and often to predict and optimize their design performance What are the benefits of Autodesk Simulation software and services? With simulation-driven design, designers and engineers can perform simulations early in the design process to investigate performance, test innovative concepts, and optimize designs before the manufacturing or construction process begins. Using Autodesk Simulation solutions can help you understand the implications of design choices as you make them What are the benefits of Simulation in the cloud? With Autodesk SIM 360 Pro, you can gain a competitive advantage and leverage the power of the cloud to solve complex design challenges, innovate with new ideas, and collaborate more effectively. Autodesk SIM 360 Pro allows users to offload computational intensive tasks to the cloud to simulate many different design configurations in parallel. Anywhere, anytime access means you can run simulations and access results virtually anywhere allowing greater work flexibility and better collaboration with your partners and clients. The cloud also enables new business models, with users no longer needing to invest in expensive hardware to run simulations and upfront software investments are replaced with a pay-as-you-go payment model What Simulation capabilities come with SIM 360 Pro? Autodesk SIM 360 Pro includes the full functionality available with Autodesk Simulation Mechanical and Autodesk Simulation CFD desktop software for structural mechanics, thermal and fluid flow simulation. In addition, the Robot Structural Analysis (RSA) functionality is included at FY 14, which provides advanced building simulation and analysis capabilities for large and complex structures. RSA offers smooth workflow and interoperability with Autodesk Revit software, making it easier to examine steel / beam connections and reinforced concrete structures. 2. Availability and Pricing 2.1. When will Autodesk SIM 360 Pro be available? Autodesk SIM 360 Pro and Autodesk SIM 360 Pro Unlimited are available as of April 12, An additional option, Autodesk SIM 360 Pro with Local Solve, will be available June 7 th, In what languages is SIM 360 Pro available? SIM 360 Pro is available in English, German, French, and Japanese.

4 2.3. Where can I purchase Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? Autodesk SIM 360 Pro is available for purchase via Authorized Autodesk VARs What options are available for Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? There are three cost effective options available for SIM 360 Pro: SIM 360 Pro is offered as an annual term license. This includes an allotment of 1,800 Cloud Credits which are consumed during usage. SIM 360 Pro Unlimited is available as an annual term license. This allows users to run unlimited simulation jobs during the license term of SIM 360 Pro. SIM 360 Pro with Local Solve is offered as an annual term license. This product offers 1800 Cloud Credits which can be consumed for jobs running in the cloud, AND it offers the flexibility to also run unlimited jobs on the client s local (desktop) computer. SIM 360 Pro with Local Solve is a single user license, and requires an A360 login and password. 2.5 What is a Cloud Credit (CC)? Cloud Credits are allotted with the annual fee of Autodesk SIM 360 Pro. Usage refers to the usage of the products within Autodesk SIM 360 Pro, measured in Cloud Credits. For each Simulation job that is performed there will be a corresponding consumption of CCs to execute that task. A job is defined as meshing and solving a simulation model for one set of boundary conditions regardless of the size of the model. The consumption rates vary based on the type of simulation as follows: Mechanical Simulation = 15 CC per job CFD (Fluids) Simulation = 15 CC per job RSA (Robot Structural) = 5 CC per job Thus, with the 1,800 CCs allotted, an Autodesk SIM 360 Pro customer can run 120 Mechanical jobs, or 120 CFD jobs, or 360 RSA Jobs or a combination of the three- up to the consumption of 1,800 CCs Can I buy more cloud credits? What happens if I use all of my cloud credits? Yes, Autodesk offers the option to purchase additional cloud credits at a rate of 100 CCs per $100. You can view your reserve of cloud credits at any time by logging into your A360 account, placing the cursor over your name in the upper right portion of the screen (pull down menu appears), and selecting account details Are Cloud Credits (CC) tied to the actual license or the user? Can I share my CCs with other users at my company? Cloud credits are assigned (tied) to a given Subscription contract. Therefore, if multiple users have purchased Autodesk SIM 360 Pro access under the same Subscription contract, these users can share their pool of Cloud Credits.

5 2.8. Can I purchase an unlimited version of SIM 360 Pro? Yes, SIM 360 Pro Unlimited is available as an annual license. This service does not place a limit on the amount of cloud credits that a user may consume during the license term. Please note that SIM 360 Pro Unlimited must be licensed separately from other versions of SIM 360 Pro. (i.e. it may not be pooled on the same contract with limited versions) 2.9. Are there any geographic restrictions on my access to SIM 360 Pro? Can I share my license with other users at my company? SIM 360 Pro is offered as a named user license, and therefore, access is intended for a single user. It is a violation of the Autodesk 360 Terms of Service to share user accounts with others. SIM 360 Pro should be purchased within the region (country) where the intended user resides. For example, a company who wants to have 5 users access SIM 360 Pro (3 in the US, and 2 in Germany) should NOT purchase all 5 licenses in the US. Instead, 3 should be purchased in the US, and 2 in Germany. Please note that users are permitted to travel outside of their geography on a temporary basis, and still access their SIM 360 Pro account. 3. Technology 3.1. What products and capabilities are included in Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? Autodesk Simulation Mechanical: Cloud based FEA tools for static stress, linear dynamic analysis, and mechanical event simulations. Autodesk Simulation CFD Motion including Design Study environment and 3D CAD connectors: Cloud based computational fluid dynamics tools for fluid flow and thermal simulations. Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis helps structural engineers and designers perform detailed simulation and code checking on a range of structures, including buildings and frame structures. SIM 360 Pro will require the user to download and install a thin client application. This software resides on the desktop and allows the user to import/create geometry, define material properties, and apply loads and boundary conditions, and query or view results. When using SIM 360 Pro, meshing and solving of simulation models is performed in the Cloud What are the system requirements to run SIM 360 Pro? Detailed system requirements can be found at As a rule of thumb, 25mbs upload and download internet capability is recommended. (Faster is better). Slower connection speeds will also work; however, the data transfer times will be longer.

6 3.4. How often can I install the SIM 360 Pro client software? Does SIM 360 Pro need to be used on the same workstation? To provide more flexibility, users may download and install the client software on multiple machines. Doing so, enables users to work and access their simulation data in multiple locations whether at work, home, or remote What do I need to run Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? Three items are necessary for cloud computing: (1) installing the thin client on your computer (2) internet access with good bandwidth - especially for data intensive software applications (3) your Autodesk 360 login information to access the SIM 360 Pro service. 4. Consulting, Training, and Support 4.1. What type of support will I receive? Autodesk SIM 360 Pro customers will receive Advanced Support (formerly Gold Support ) and will have access to a support hotline as well as the ability to raise issues electronically via subscription center for technical questions 4.2. How do I obtain technical support? Tech support can be accessed through a few different sources including the product support hotline, electronically through Subscription center, as well as through the product forums for the simulation tools; Simulation Mechanical and Simulation CFD Is technical support available through Autodesk Subscription? Autodesk subscription provides the standard support benefits Can I try SIM 360 Pro before I buy it? Yes, a limited time trial is available for SIM 360 Pro. Is subscription available for purchase with Autodesk SIM 360 Pro? Subscription service is included as part of the term license fee for SIM 360 Pro. This comprises both product updates and technical support What benefits does subscription offer? Subscription will provide advanced support for SIM 360 Pro as well as access to any updates available through subscription center. Along with access to Product Support, there will be e- learning content available for subscription customers only that is continually updated.
