1 Announcement Letter Number ZA August 17, 2010 Effective January 1, 2011*, IBM is making modest price changes which will improve worldwide price harmonization across the software product portfolio. Passport Advantage Express Suggested Retail Prices (SRP), Passport Advantage Suggested Volume Prices (SVP), and list prices, as applicable, for the following categories of products, are included in this announcement: o Passport Advantage Eligible Products from the IBM Lotus, IBM Rational, IBM WebSphere, IBM Tivoli, and the IBM Information Management brands. o Selected products available for order by program number and Feature code (including zseries OTC) listed in the Description section o Selected non-passport Advantage and non-zseries middleware software products o Media and documentation packs associated with the Passport Advantage Eligible Products For most products, the following price harmonization changes will apply: Prices will remain unchanged in Australia, Canada, and Switzerland Prices will increase by 5% in the United Kingdom Prices will increase by 4% in most EMEA countries Prices will increase by 3% in all other countries For a small number of products, price harmonization adjustments will deviate slightly from the assumptions above. In some cases there will be a higher price increase or a price reduction, but overall most of the price changes will not exceed plus or minus 5%. For affected Passport Advantage eligible products, including most non-passport Advantage, non-zseries middleware products, and their associated media and documentation packs, price harmonization changes are applicable for all eligible product offerings, including software License and 12-months Software Subscription & Support (S&S), Software S&S Renewal, Software S&S Reinstatement, and Trade up License and 12-months Software S&S. Price changes are applicable for Software S&S Renewals pertaining to coverage periods beginning on or after January 1, 2011, regardless of when payment is received.

2 For other select products, including zseries OTC, zseries 12-months Software Subscription & Support (S&S), and some non-passport Advantage or non-zseries middleware software products, price harmonization changes are detailed in the Description sections below. *Prices effective April 1, 2011 in Japan.
