2 IBM Software ValueNet Program Announcing WHAT is IBM Software ValueNet? IBM Software ValueNet is a new partner/channel program that is designed to reward partners who deliver high value solutions based on designated IBM software. WHO does this affect? IBM Customers should be aware that IBM Software ValueNet program requirements allow only approved IBM partners to resell Software ValueNet product portfolios. At this time, only the IBM FileNet software products are available under this new program. WHERE is this happening? Worldwide WHEN is this happening? On July 22, 2008, the IBM FileNet portfolio of products became available in the IBM Passport Advantage program. The IBM FileNet products may only be sold either directly by IBM or by IBM Business Partners approved under the IBM Software ValueNet program. WHY is this happening? IBM Software ValueNet rewards IBM Business Partners for the value they bring both before, during and after the sell cycle. Software ValueNet helps SWG further strengthen our competitive edge by attracting and retaining high value IBM Business Partners that have recognized, proven industry or horizontal solution expertise, and invest in IBM software for strategic mutual growth. IBM Software ValueNet also provides continuity for customers of existing FileNet Business Partners, so they may continue to leverage their established buying and/or support relationship. 2

3 FileNet Products in Passport Advantage Overview of move into PA On July 22, 2008, the IBM FileNet portfolio of products became available in the IBM Passport Advantage program. The IBM FileNet products may only be sold either directly by IBM or by IBM Business Partners approved under the IBM Software ValueNet program Allows customers to see and utilize a common set of software ordering and fulfillment tools Customers will have access to PA Online tools for managing their entitlements and Software Subscription and Support renewals An notification was sent to existing IBM FileNet customers, outlining the upcoming changes; they will also receive Welcome to Passport Advantage letters when they are migrated to PA This change allows customers to continue to buy from their existing ECM ValueNet partner and receive support (from ECM ValueNet support-providing partners). 3

6 Passport Advantage Program Customer Benefits Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express Passport Advantage is designed for larger enterprises and enterprises with multiple sites Relationship-based Requires a significant initial purchase Passport Advantage Express is designed for smaller enterprises and single-site enterprises Transaction-based Requires no minimum initial purchase Includes Software Subscription and Support (technical support and product upgrades) with each new license Streamlines budgeting for software upgrade and migration costs Provides comprehensive and flexible upgrade coverage Provides secure access to Passport Advantage Online a secure customer web site Incorporates flexible, easy-to-access, responsive, cross-platform IBM customer support Provides access to IBM software technical support for a customer's designated IT staff Provides 24x7 access to support resources for business-critical outages Provides self help via the Internet Provides selected support for certain Open Source and other non-warranted code 6

7 Software Sold Through IBM Software ValueNet and the Passport Advantage Program IBM Software ValueNet IBM FileNet products are available in the Passport Advantage program, but are ONLY available to be sold by partners who are approved to participate in the IBM Software ValueNet program. Passport Advantage Other existing IBM software products available in the Passport Advantage program that are not part of the IBM Software ValueNet program will continue to be sold by ALL IBM Resellers through Passport Advantage, business as usual. 7

8 Pricing-Related Changes for FileNet Products Can customers acquire IBM FileNet software at their existing PA level price? Customers may purchase IBM FileNet products in Passport Advantage products either directly from IBM or through a Software ValueNet partner at their PA level price. The Software ValueNet partners offer significant incremental value to customers by integrating services and solutions that deliver on customer needs, improving return on investment. The advantage for customers purchasing through PA is that they will now receive Passport Advantage Points with the purchase of IBM FileNet products. Customers are able to pool points from software purchases through PA in order to gain more favorable future volume discounts. What will happen to open quotes that have already been delivered to customers? In general, on July 22, 2008, all open new license quotes for IBM FileNet offerings will expire and must be re-issued through Passport Advantage. Will both 10x5 and 24x7 Software Subscription and Support continue to be offered through Passport Advantage? No, in Passport Advantage, only 24x7 Software Subscription and Support is offered. Partner numbers, pricing and ordering On July 22, 2008, the IBM FileNet portfolio of products became available in the IBM Passport Advantage program, with new IBM part numbers, pricing and ordering processes. Customers will notice new part numbers on their quotes. Customers that purchase the IBM FileNet software either directly or from an IBM Software ValueNet partner through Passport Advantage will be entitled to IBM 24X7 support under the terms of their Passport Advantage agreement. 8

9 Other Changes that Customers Can Expect after July 22, 2008 Ordering IBM FileNet software license and renewals Only approved IBM Software ValueNet Resellers for IBM FileNet software will be able to order via PA. If your Business Partner wishes to sell IBM FileNet software, they will be required to go through the approval process and training to meet requirements of the IBM's Software ValueNet program for the IBM FileNet portfolio. For existing customers, an IBM migration team will begin to offer quotations to migrate customer entitlements to Passport Advantage starting late in Migrations will generally be offered at the customer s first upcoming renewal date. PA tools for Customers Customers that purchase the IBM FileNet software either directly or from an IBM Software ValueNet partner through Passport Advantage will be able to download their software directly from IBM. Customers can log on to Passport Advantage Online (PAO) to view their entitlements, including IBM FileNet software that has been newly purchased or migrated from a legacy contract. ICN and Site ID For existing Passport Advantage customers, IBM will be aligning their IBM FileNet renewal with their existing Passport Advantage site ID and contract. This alignment may result in a change in the IBM Customer Number (ICN) and may result in a change in the site technical contact at the time when IBM FileNet products migrate over to IBM Passport Advantage. A customer s technical contacts will need this new ICN to receive support for IBM FileNet products. It is important that the site technical contact understands this change, and distributes the correct ICN to all contacts who require access to IBM technical support. 9

12 End-of-life Products for IBM FileNet software portfolio The following IBM FileNet Products that will not be enabled or offered in Passport Advantage: System Monitor for Tivoli (customers will be migrated to the base System Monitor product) Web Content Manager and associated Data Direct Drivers P8 Connector to Magnetic Storage and Retrieval BAM Message Agent for Tibco Connector for Microsoft Sharepoint (migrate to Connector for Sharepoint in PA) CMIM Accounts Payable CMIM Insurance Image Services with Oracle Runtime Application Connector for Siebel and Siebel IDL (pending) Visual WorkFlo (pending) Forms Manager (pending) eforms for Open Client (pending) Existing customers who were previously licensed for these products will be able to renew Software Subscription and Support for these products in Passport Advantage, but not buy new licenses in PA. 12
