1 Installing the Patches for PSN For SBR version 5.x, perform the following steps as root. Go to the installation directory. (This is usually /opt/funk/radius) # cd /opt/funk/radius # mv./radadmin.so radadmin.so.orig # mv /path/to/downloaded/radadmin.so./radadmin.so # chown root./radadmin.so # chmod 755./radAdmin.so

2 PSN For SBR version 6.0, perform the following steps as root. Go to the installation directory (This is usually /opt/jnprsbr/radius) # cd /opt/jnprsbr/radius sbrd: stopping SBR software # mv./system/lib/radadmin.so radadmin.so.orig # mv /path/to/downloaded/radadmin.so./system/ lib/radadmin.so # chown root./system/lib/radadmin.so # chmod 755./system/lib/radAdmin.so Edit sbr_administration.xml with your favorite editor. (This file is usually found in /opt/jnprsbr/radius) 5A. Locate the following two lines <object program_id ="radadmin.radadminlocalsessionmgr"/> </object> 5B. If the two lines are adjacent (ie, no intervening lines), insert the following line between them and save the file. <init address = " " /> 5C. If there is already an "init address" line between the <object...> and </object> lines just exit the editor.

3 PSN STEP 7: For SBR version 6.1, perform the following steps as root. Go to the installation directory. (This is usually /opt/jnprsbr/radius) # cd /opt/jnprsbr/radius sbrd: stopping SBR software # mv./system/lib/radadmin.so radadmin.so.orig # mv /path/to/downloaded/radadmin.so./system/ lib/radadmin.so # chown root./system/lib/radadmin.so # chmod 755./system/lib/radAdmin.so

4 PSN Notes After this patch is applied, on Linux platforms, rpm V will report that radadmin.so is damaged. This is normal. Upgrading Steel-Belted Radius after Installing the Patch Before installing an upgrade, uninstall the patch, as follows. If upgrading from SBR 5.x:. Move radadmin.so.orig back to radadmin.so. If upgrading from SBR 6.x: Go to the installation directory.. Move radadmin.so.orig back to./system/lib/radadmin.so. After installing the upgrade, apply the patch appropriate to the new version (per the instructions above).
