3 1. System Requirements The new STANLIB Online works best with Internet Explorer 9 and above. It is advised to use Chrome for an optimal experience. 2. How to clear browser history for Internet Explorer 9 and above It is recommended to clear all browser history before you use the system for the first time. This will ensure that any previous browser settings related to STANLIB Online be removed which will allow the new website to load correctly. Click on the Gear to enable the settings menu Select Internet Options On Browser history, click on Delete PAGE 3

6 5. How to log in to STANLIB Online Click on Login / Register Select Individual / Adviser Enter your STANLIB ID and Password PAGE 6

7 6. Resolving a failed login Due to new security measures, it may be possible that your user ID is no longer active. The reason for this is that we required a cell phone and address to be linked to your STANLIB ID going forward. This provides improved security with the new features implemented. 7. How to log in following a session timeout Due to the above mentioned security settings, the session will expire after 10 minutes of inactivity. If you try to access the Unit Trust system, you will receive the following error: Click on the back button of the browser Back on your investment page, you will have to log out to clear all browser sessions: Click on your name Click on Sign-out You will be directed to the login page again Enter your credentials (STANLIB ID and Password) Once back into the investment page, you will be able to access the Unit Trust section PAGE 7

Resetting you password via the Google Chrome web browser Please note that it is recommended that you reset your password by using the Google Chrome Browser, not Internet Explorer or any other web browser. Step 1: Access STANLIB Online via Google Chrome and select individual/adviser Step 2: Click on forgot password Step 3: Enter your login ID and click confirm PAGE 8

Step 4: You will receive an which includes a link to reset your password Step 5: Navigating to the above link will take you to the following screen which should already prepopulate your login ID, click continue. Step 6: An SMS will be sent to the cell phone number linked to your user ID. The SMS will include a One-Time-Pin (OTP). Enter your new password and OTP in the respective fields Click confirm once done. You will now be redirected to the STANLIB Online home page Please log in using your user ID and new password PAGE 9

10 9. How to navigate to statements once logged in To view statements, tax certificates and more detail on Unit Trust Investments, click on Transact within the investment tile. 10. How to generate a unit trust statement Please note that the landing page is slightly different compared to the previous version. The page allows you to search for specific clients upfront and then enables you to generate a statement. If the landing page does not allow you to search for clients, please follow the steps below: Step 1: Log into STANLIB Online and select a client PAGE 10

11 10. cont. Step 2: Click on Financial adviser and select investor search Step 3: The client s investment details will load and a new tab, Investor will appear Step 4: Click on the Investor tab and select investor statement PAGE 11

12 10. cont. Step 5: Enter the date range and generate the statement. Please note that the date range pick-up for statements is limited to one year at a time, however statements for any year can be drawn. 11. How to generate an investment proposal Click on FINANCIAL ADVISER to open the FA menu Click on Investment Proposals Click on NEW INVESTMENT PROPOSAL Follow the Proposal wizard to the end PAGE 12
