CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS CUSTOMIZATION OPPORTUNITIES Your store template is initially in a blank state with default assets. All course content and related assets will automatically flow to your store from 360training.com s site. However, there are a number of content spots (espots) in the template you can customize: the header, the footer, the main home page espot, and the Course espot. Your company logo will go in both the header and the footer, if desired. Additionally, page element such as background color or background image may be customized. WHY CUSTOMIZE? It should be noted that the customization opportunities are the only pieces of content that will naturally generate SEO for a VAR, as 360 auto-generated content areas will be engineered to circumvent search engine plagiarism flags that can destroy page and site ranking. If a VAR is sending business to the store from a primary web site with plenty of content or from a thriving bricksand-mortar location, the VAR may not need to invest time in espots. If, however, the store is intended to be the VAR s primary presence, development of espots is highly recommended. REQUESTING CUSTOMIZATION To request customization, please contact your Channel Manager through the contact information you have been provided or visit and click on the Contact Us page for more information. You may choose to customize all, some, or none of the available areas. CUSTOMIZATION REQUIREMENTS You will need to send in some assets, such as text to display in the Header and Footer, your choice of social media links, URLs for your other website, if you have one, images for use in the content spots, etc. GENERAL CONTENT SPOT SPECIFICATIONS Images should be JPEG or PNG. Dimensions are given in this document for each specific content spot. Content spots may contain any kind of hyperlink so long as you provide the URL. Anything that can go on a HTML page can generally go into a content spot. Discuss with the Storefront Team if you have questions. Provide metatata to go with images and hyperlinks for SEO integration 4
Out-of-the-Box Store CUSTOMIZABLE AREAS Each customizable area is marked with a red bounding box in these screenshots. HOME PAGE HEADER CONTENT SPOT The Header content spot contains: Large Logo: image, 195 X 85 px Header text: Whatever you like. May contain hyperlinks (URL, ). Space for text is limited, so keep it brief. Specify font, size, and color if desired. Most HTML and styles can go here. Storefront Customization Guide 5
Background color or image is also allowed; if these are specified/provided. Search field and navigation tabs are standard and not customizable. The Request Information tab will pop a Pardot form and the information submitted will be sent to 360training.com, along with information about the OOB store from where the request originated. GENERAL PAGE ELEMENTS You may also specify a background image to use for the entire page, or a different page color. Simply provide the information and/or img files required. FOOTER CONTENT SPOT The Footer content spot contains: Small Logo: image, 115 x 52 px Footer text: Whatever text, hyperlinks, HTML, etc you want can go here. More than one line of text can display. Social Media links: Choose as many or as few as you want. Choices are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+. Please provide address to be linked to. 6
Out-of-the-Box Store HOME PAGE CONTENT SPOT The Home Page content spot generally contains an image with a general advertisement for your store. Home Page espot: Image, 690 x 417 px (Default image pictured) You may put video here LEFT NAVIGATION COLUMN Left navigation column: the libraries you are distributing, and their hierarchies, will flow here automatically from 360training.com s site. If anything here is not displaying correctly, contact us right away. However, you may customize the column header. The current default header is Career Options. If you would like the header to say something else, contact Client Services and provide the substitute text. Column header: provide the desired text. Storefront Customization Guide 7
COURSE GROUP PAGE On the Course Group Page, both packages and individual courses will flow through from 360training.com, depending on which libraries you have signed up to distribute. This content is 100% flow-through and may not be further customized. 8
Out-of-the-Box Store COURSE PAGE The course page is full of information about the course that flows in automatically from 360training.com s site, from the course description to each of the pictured windowshades. If there is a course image attached to the course, that image will automatically display as well, where the thumbnail image box shows. There is one customizable content spot on this page, the Course content spot. Storefront Customization Guide 9
COURSE CONTENT SPOT Course espot: image, 307 x 233 px Default content pictured. This may be removed or replaced with your own image promoting courses or specials. INTEGRATING GOOGLE ANALYTICS Google Analytics may be integrated into your OOB Store. As a VAR, you will have to set up your own Google Analytics account and Google Tag Manager account. You will then need to implement your GA code into your GTM container. Once you have done this, provide the ID s to us and we will implement the new container information in the admin console. For Google Analytics we need : UA Code For Google Adwards we need : Conversion ID, Language, Format, color, and Label. For specific information, please visit the Google Analytics site at and the Google Tag Manager site 10
Out-of-the-Box Store REPORTS AND REVENUE SHARE INFORMATION VARS may request to have their address added to the BCC field of ed receipts sent out for purchases from their storefront. Full information for running reports via SSRS is coming soon; once available it will be provided to you. MULTIPLE-COPY COURSE PURCHASES GUIDE The new VAR Out-of-the-Box Store extends some powerful features of 360training.com s website directly to your store. One such feature is the ability for a customer to purchase multiple copies of a course, such as to distribute among a workforce, and receive a LMS with Manager Mode as a result. As a VAR, you have your own LMS account. When you log into the LMS, there are training materials available that fully cover this process as well: the Manager Mode guided video tour available upon login, and on the Learner Dashboard, there is a Tutorial Widget which contains a written guide the Manager Mode Training Manual. You are encouraged to view these materials for reference. This section of the guide will show you briefly how the customer receives, and can distribute, multiple copies of the same course purchased from your OOB store. Storefront Customization Guide 11
LOGGING IN TO THE LMS AND WHERE TO FIND THE TUTORIALS 1. When a customer purchases multiple copies of a single course, the Cart UI changes to require the customer enter a company name on top of the normal information. This company name will be set up as a customer under your reseller account for administrative purposes. 2. The address and password the purchaser supplies while making the purchase on your store becomes that person s LMS username and password. The receipt the purchaser receives contains a link to the LMS Login page. URL is 3. User logs into the LMS with their credentials. On the first login, there is a browser check page and a license agreement page; there is also a guided tour page that will show this user links to two guided tour movies one for Learner Mode and one for Manager Mode. 4. This window will show up on your own LMS login as well. It is recommended that you watch the tutorials for information on how the LMS works in each mode. THE CUSTOMER S CONTRACT The contract that was created by the customer s purchase from your store is viewable in the customer s LMS account, Manager mode, in the Plan & Enroll area, on the View System Libraries tab: 12
Out-of-the-Box Store This customer purchased 3 copies of a course, which created a contract for that course with 3 enrollments allowed. At this point, none have been used. ADDING USERS AND ENROLLING COURSES To enroll employees in the courses, the customer will first have to add users to the LMS. This is accomplished in the Users & Groups area, Manage Users tab. To add users, simply click the Add User button and follow the Add User Wizard to enter the user s information. Please see the LMS documentation for full information on this process. Next, the customer would enroll the users in the course purchased. Here are the instructions for the customer: 1. Click the Plan & Enroll icon, then click Enroll Users By Course. Storefront Customization Guide 13
2. The Assign Enrollments Wizard displays. For this tutorial we will enroll by Users (simplest method). Click Next. 3. Search the users. The users the customer added display. Customer should select the users to enroll, then click Next. 4. Search the course. The purchased course displays. Customer should select that, then click Next. Note that the total seats available, and total seats used numbers display. 5. Enter the Start Date and End Date. Start Date is the day the course will first be available to the users. End date is the day by which the user must begin the course, or the course will expire for that user. Click Next. 14
Out-of-the-Box Store 6. The next screen is an option screen, and the end of the process. Click Finish. 7. The final screen is a summary screen showing how many users were enrolled. Click OK and the Wizard closes. Storefront Customization Guide 15
AFTER ENROLLMENT Now that this customer has enrolled 3 users in the course, the customer s contract is exhausted: And if the customer then tries to enroll more users in the course, the course will no longer show up during the enrollment process, when the customer searches the course: The users the customer enrolled, now have Learner LMS accounts, and they may log in and begin taking the course. Here is a view of the user account showing the course: And that is the brief overview to how multiple-copy course purchasers will utilize their purchases from your store. 16
Out-of-the-Box Store FURTHER INFORMATION For more information please not hesitate to contact your Channel Manager if you have specific questions about customization or your store set up. You can also visit and click on the Contact Us page for more information. Storefront Customization Guide 17
