7 Website Advice Website should: Contain accurate information, whether that information is from your group or the Foundation Easily differentiate Fisher House Foundation statistics from your statistics Folks who are unfamiliar with the Fisher House program may not know the difference between the Foundation and a community group Be created with a responsive web design Many people are visiting websites from a tablet or phone Contain great photos *A website is not required for each community group, this is simply advice if you have one. Feel free to always refer people to the Foundation website.

Flickr is an online photo album website Benefits: Photos are easily viewed and organized Visitors can both view and download photos in a variety of resolutions Directing to Flickr for photos as opposed to uploading several on your website, which could cause it to slow down The Foundation is happy for you to use photos here! Please adhere to photo guidelines when using these pictures. (More on that later) Handout: Please see handout for how to upload and download photos.
10 Fisher House Resources: YouTube Fisher House Foundation has a YouTube page with plenty of family stories and PSAs in a variety of lengths. Please use for any presentations or informational meetings you may have. Feel free to ask us for videos we recommend! NOTE: Some are outdated, and not in HD.

17 Photography Guidelines Interior/Exterior photos = For anyone Family photos = Generally for community group/informational use only *The photo consents families sign do not cover advertising. You may get requests for photos for ads and promotions, if so, please contact Kerri or Ashley for guidance on which photos to use. If in doubt anytime, please feel free to call and ask the communications team.
18 Photography How To s Helpful Hints Make sure there is enough light Hold the camera or phone steady Review your photo immediately after for people moving, blinking, etc. Camera When ing photos from your camera, the original image from your memory card Phone Hold your phone steady (it s easy to move) and make sure subjects are not moving When ing photos from your phone, the original or full size image Handout: Please see handout for phone photography tips.
19 Media Interviews Keep your manager of the Fisher House (if applicable) and the facility PAO informed of media opportunities and ask permission when necessary. Have talking points ready. **If something doesn t feel right, it probably isn t. Please reach out to Kerri if you need guidance or help with the media.** Handout: Please see media handout for full details on media interviews.
20 Social Media Tips: Facebook Don t create a personal profile for your business (Create a Page ) Have a recognizable profile picture Choose an engaging cover photo Ensure About page is updated Post photos and videos on your timeline Quality > Quantity Be brief Monitor and respond to comments on your page Like other house pages and community pages and monitor their content Share Foundation content and other Fisher House pages Do not post, engage, like, share, comment on any political or controversial topic. This goes for all websites, social media platforms. *Having a Facebook page is not required, and takes a lot of time to do well. This is advice if you are going to have a page.
21 Social Media Tips: Twitter Have a relevant Twitter photo and cover image Keep it short & concise Use visuals in your tweet Photos/videos This adds personality Include proper tags in your tweet There can be more than one Ken Fisher tag the right one Include relevant hashtags Monitor mentions and engage as necessary
