1 TUTORIAL: Client Portal for U.S. Services This tutorial provides guidance for using WuXi AppTec s Client Portal for U.S. Services. Use of the Portal requires a Login assigned by WuXi AppTec. If you do not have a Login, contact your WuXi AppTec Account Manager. If you need technical assistance with using the Portal, please contact WuXi AppTec Online Services at or by info@wuxiapptec.com

3 Accessing the U.S. Client Portal 1. Go to our website: wuxiapptec.com. 2. Click on the Client Support tab at the top and then select Client Portal (Login) from the left-hand navigation panel. 3. When the page opens, click on the Client Portal for U.S. Services. NOTE: For best experience, use Internet Explorer as your web browser.

4 Portal Sign-In Enter your User Name, which is your address. Enter your Password. If you have a temporary password provided by WuXi AppTec, you can change it once you are logged into the system. If you do not have a password, contact your WuXi AppTec Account Manager. Accept Terms and Conditions by checking box. User must accept Terms and Conditions to be able to sign in. Click on the Sign In button.

5 Home Page and Navigation Client Name On this Home page you will find links in the navigation panel to search your projects and, if applicable, order tests and access your order history. There are also links for changing your password and signing off the Portal.

6 Searching Projects The Search Projects function can be used by all registered users to view project status, test dates, report dates, etc. Additionally, clients who have ordered tests via the Portal can also view a history of tests performed by WuXi AppTec. ADVANCED SEARCH Select search criteria for multiple items and enter search values for each selection to limit the results. Each search value will be added as an AND item to the search string. Click the Search button and a result grid will appear with a summary of the search results. For result grid example, see next page.

7 Searching Projects (continued) Example of a Search Result Grid This is an example of the grid displaying a summary of search results. You can click on a column header to sort the results grid in ascending order. Click the header again to sort in descending order. Click the Project/Accession Number link to get the current status of a particular project. For an example of an individual project status report, see next page.

8 Searching Projects (continued) Project Status Report Sample Company 987 Street Address, City, ST USA Client Name This is an example of the Project Status Report you will view if you have selected a particular project from your search results grid. There is an option for a printer friendly version if you want to produce a hard copy.

9 Ordering Tests Steps 1-5 NOTE: The ability to order tests using the Client Portal for U.S. Services is currently available only for standard microbiology, chemistry and package testing (tests performed at our Atlanta facility)

10 Ordering Tests Step 1 of 5 Account Information & Contact Information Sample Company Client Name Client.Name@SampleCompany.com When you select Order Tests from the navigation bar, you will find that the Account Number and Contact Information have been auto-populated based on your User login. Confirmation: If box is checked, an will be sent confirming that the order was placed on the portal. Sample Receipt: If box is checked, an will be sent confirming the receipt and login of the samples into the WuXi AppTec system. Continued next page.

11 Ordering Tests Step 1 of 5 [continued] Test Article Information The Test Article Type will be autofilled based on your account set-up. Client Name Sample Company Number of Samples If submitting multiple units of the same sample (example: 10 units for an aerobic bioburden test), leave the Number of Samples value at 1. Client.Name@SampleCompany.com If submitting multiple units of different samples (example: 5 tissues with different donor numbers for a sterility test), enter the number of different samples. NOTE: A maximum of 10 different samples can be placed on a single order. CLICK NEXT TO MOVE TO NEXT STEP

12 Ordering Tests Step 2 of 5 Complete all the necessary information for your sample. Mandatory fields are noted with an asterisk. CLICK NEXT TO MOVE TO NEXT STEP

13 Ordering Tests Step 3 of 5 Using the dropdown menu, choose the way you want to search for a test: Test Code Test Name OR Category of Test When the search results display, you can select the test(s) you want by clicking on the Add link in the far right-hand column. Continued next page.

14 Ordering Tests Step 3 of 5 [continued] As shown in the example here, the test you have added will now be listed under Selected Test(s). To add more test codes for the same sample, repeat the process of searching for and selecting tests as shown on the previous page. You also have the option to remove test codes if necessary. Review all the tests you have selected before moving to the next step. CLICK NEXT TO MOVE TO NEXT STEP

15 Ordering Tests Step 4 of 5 For each test, enter the number of samples to be tested. Then provide answers to any additional questions related to your sample and the test(s) you have requested. The comments section can be used for additional information if necessary. CLICK NEXT TO MOVE TO NEXT STEP

16 Ordering Tests Step 5 of 5 Review Order Details Sample Company Client Name client.name@samplecompany.com Carefully review all order details and edit as necessary. A section for additional comments is available. A document upload function allows the attachment of applicable materials that can be downloaded by the lab. When you are satisfied that all content is complete and correct, click Submit.

17 Order Confirmation Client Name Once order is submitted, the system will provide a Tracking Number for the order. Be sure to print a copy of the order confirmation page to be included with the sample shipment. The printed copy includes a Signature line. See next page for information on placing similar orders for different samples.

18 Placing Similar Orders for Different Samples Client Name If placing multiple orders for different samples, after completing one order, click the New Order Same Info button. This will bring up an exact duplicate of the original order that can be edited to accommodate the new sample or test being ordered. This convenient function is also available by searching for a previously submitted order using the Order History option in the left-hand navigation bar. See next page.

19 Order History Search in Order History for an order s tracking number. When the information is returned, click on the hyperlinked Tracking Number to bring up the order. Sample Client Sample Company Client Name client.name@samplecompany.com To use the information from the selected historical order to create a new order, click on the button New Order Same Info. You will be able to edit the new order as necessary before submitting.
