1 Page 1 of 9 Event Submission Module: Species sex, species, breed and colour We have added species specific lists for sex, species breed and colour options. The division of tag will determine the species-specific attributes you will see when you are entering event details. Note: The breed list for sheep is rather extensive and to large to show an example

2 Page 2 of 9 Dynamic Animal Attributes When submitting Directly Online, there is a new column in the List of Tags Associated with the Event section of the page. The Division column shows the species of tags added to the list.. You will notice Division column has been added to the list while entering individual tag information. The Division of tag will affect the species, sex, breed and colour available when entering the event details.

Tags with the Division USDA or Foreign will display all of the available Species options. Users must select Species before Sex, Breed, and/or Colour.

5 Page 4 of 9 Transaction Verification When submitting events through the Directly Online method, the CLTS database now notifies users if there is a problem with a tag number they have entered. For example, if a user attempts to submit: - A birthdate event and the tag is not issued to the user. - A Move-In, Move-Out or Issued event, and the tag number does not exist in the CLTS database. - An Imported event, and the tag number does not exist in the CLTS database, (i.e., unless it is a USDA or foreign tag). - A tag that already has a Retired/Exported/Disposed event applied to it. - A Retired event for a tag and the tag number does not exist in the CLTS database, (i.e., unless it is a USDA or a foreign tag). - A Disposed event for a tag that already has a Disposed/Exported event applied to it. The system will also perform a validation check after a user clicks Confirm and Submit, which returns to the Confirmation page if any issues are found. Note: This feature is available for the following events: Birth Date, Issued, Imported, Move In, Move Out, Exported, Retired and Disposed.

6 Page 5 of 9 Group Move-Out When submitting a Group Move Out event, users are now able to obtain and print a movement document. There are two ways to obtain a Movement Document: users may scan the QR code assigned to the transaction or open the PDF file.

7 Page 6 of 9 Group Move-Out continued Example: Movement Document If a user submits a Group Move-Out event but does not create a Movement Document at the time, the user will be able to create a Movement Document later by clicking the transaction ID associated with the Group Move-Out event and clicking the Create Movement Document hyperlink button. Note: When looking for a Group Move-Out transaction, it will not appear in Request History searches.

8 Page 7 of 9 Cross Reference While submitting a Cross Reference, there is now a note to indicate which tag should be entered first. NOTE: There is a change on the next page to clarify which tag is required in the next step. Changes to the Retired event The CLTS database now offers users the option to submit Retired event data for an animal carcass that has not been identified with an approved indicator. NOTE: Though entering the 15-digit tag number is now optional only, users may enter other identifying information in the carcass information field. The event looks very similar to the Disposed event without a Tag ID This event requires very similar information as the Disposed event without a Tag ID.

9 Page 8 of 9 Disposed Event with no Tag ID search The Search tab now offers the option to search Disposed and Retired events without a tag number. This option now displays Disposed and Retired event search results.

10 Page 9 of 9 Home Page Module: A new section has been added to the front page that highlights the importance of having a valid address entered in the account. If there an address is present, it will be included in this section. If there is no on the account it will let you know in this section as well
