3 Medical WorkStation User Manual VM Medical WS User Manual Considerations This software is not intended to replace qualified medical judgment and should only be used by people who have been appropriately trained in the software s functions and capabilities. The quality of the data is dependent on the acquire data and the correct use of the diagnostic tools. The studies are not modified. The images displays and information are provided by the modality in the DICOM header. The image scrapbook function is intended to preserve annotations on images. Scrapbooked images should not be used for primary diagnosis. 3

8 Searching Parameters Set the search parameters to find the study. You can set one or more parameters for your search. Name and Last name can be set to partial searches. You can find studies by the report status. Report Status Finished - Audio - No Report Description can be set to a partial search. You can set one or more modalities. Once the parameters are set click Buscar to perform the search Study Lists Once the set is performed a list of studies corresponding to the input data will be displayed. The list has a header with the study information: 8

9 Tabs Local tab shows the studies store in the PACS Remote tab will show searches resulted from a remote search Video View will list the videos if there is one Header Each column displays information: B: If a disk icon is shown in this column it indicates the study is stored in Backup, this have no diagnostic meaning but is important to the PACS administrator. Inf: If an audio Icon is shown it means the Study have an audio report waiting to be typed, you must have authorization to listen it. If a text Icon is shown it means the Study have a Report, you must have authorization to see it. Only the informer can modify the report and the software record any modification made and the user date and time. 15 Data Base Backup VM Medical WS User Manual APC Advanced Print Controller APC allows previewing the Print layout and setting different configurations (W/L, Zoom etc.) to each image or to all the images. Images information Customized Print Division To configure a customized print first divide the sheet in the sections you want then load automatically the images or drag and drop each image in the place you want.
